POV. Erica
I rushed into my car and turned it on. I started out on the icy roads. It took about 20 minutes to get to the I 75 highway. I was speeding, even though I shouldn't have been. I was speeding and I was so close to the highway. I started seeing the crash just a little bit away.
I was still speeding when I tried to slow down. My brakes couldn't hold up to the ice covered roads when suddenly as I got closer and closer to the crash, a car swerved in my lane and was right in front of me.
We hit head on and I remember the impact was so strong that I blacked out immediately.
Next thing I knew I was barley conscious. In the faint background I heard flashes and heels clicking on the concrete of the highway. I was out of my car 10 feet away from my car laying on the ground. I heard my mom screaming and people rushing around the place, to me, to the person who hit me, to the people from the crash before.
I felt the cold wind and the ice. Suddenly it started to snow, slowly then all at once. Snow started to fall and I tried to open my eyes. I could barley see and my vision was blurred. Snow fell on my face and it only made me more cold.
And again my memory, my mind, all settled down. Everything in that moment felt to slow. And then I shut what of my eyes I had just barley opened, and everything went black again. I passed out yet again.
