POV. Erica
I woke up, there to my eyes should appear, my mom. She was crying, with a box of tissues firmly in her arm.
I still couldn't talk and I could still barley move so I had to do something to get her attention. I made a faint noise of some sort and when I did her teary eyes darted to me.
When she looked at me she smiled and took a deep breath while drying her tears with a tissue.
She gave me a piece of paper and a pen. At first I was confused but then I got it.
She looked at me, smiling still, as much as she could, and said, "Oh it's so good to see you, well see you awake." I returned the smile and wrote down on the paper. "Where is everyone?"
I held it up and she gave a slight giggle. "Oh yes, everyone has visited, you've just been asleep." " Everyone will still come and visit everyday." She said.
I wrote down on my paper,"ok, I have so many questions, but how long have I been asleep?"
She looked at it and said, " well you saw your uncle and Jake, and then you've been sleeping since then." "Me and your dad are spending the night here with you though."
She then smiled and said,"I know you have so many questions, but honey you are way too hurt and definitely not in the best state. I hate to do this but all your questions will have to wait for another time, I'm sorry." "Also honey all of the family will be here tomorrow too, and all of your friends, and your boyfriend and his family." "This also won't be the only day all of them come." She said as she got up out of the chair.
"Wait, a few more things." I wrote. She saw them and sat back down. "Yes?" She said sweetly. "Will I be here a long time?"
When my mom read that and she looked down at the floor as a few fears fell. She wiped them away as she nodded her head still looking down.
I started to panic but didn't show it. I simply went back to my pen and pad.
"One more thing, will I see Amber tomorrow?" "I need to see her." I finished writing as my mom looked back up. She looked at the pad and picked it up. She looked at it, like she was focused on something on the page.
Suddenly she stared crying very hard as she squeezed the note pad. She looked at me while the tears were pouring down her face and she hands me back the note pad.
She looked at me and said, " I love you, get some rest. I'll see you tomorrow."
She left the room, and there I was alone again, something that I kept feeling when I was in this hospital.
I feared that my family was hiding something from me. Something about Amber.
That night I tried to sleep but I couldn't. All I could think about how everyone was always crying when they saw me. How my mom didn't tell me about Amber. How I was in a crash, while going to a crash that my mom told me to come to.
Suddenly my head couldn't stop spinning and I thought the worst, I feared Amber was dead, or hurt, or something.
Before my head could slow down, I heard my heart monitor start beeping like crazy, and so many noises were going off in the room and suddenly it all stopped when I lost consciousness.
