Laying comfortably in Trey's arms, my head resting on his chest, we were sprawled out on the sofa in the quiet of the late evening. The only sound was The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air playing in the background—my all-time favorite show, which Trey knew by heart at this point. But even that familiar theme song wasn't enough to distract me. We both sat lost in our thoughts, quiet but close, each grappling with the feelings that had slowly become an undeniable reality.

In my heart, I was torn, caught between two men who both meant the world to me in their own ways. My husband, Grey, with his steady presence and loyalty, and Trey, who'd reignited something in me I thought was long gone. Each of them held pieces of me, and yet, I couldn't bring myself to make the choice I knew was inevitable. How do you decide between two people who make you feel complete in entirely different ways?

Breaking my train of thought, Trey spoke up, his voice soft but direct. "India?"

"Mmh?" I responded, absently, my eyes fixed on the television screen, although I was barely processing the show.

"You've been quiet all day," he said, running his fingers through my hair.

I couldn't help but let out a quiet chuckle. "Look who's talking."

He sighed, his hand pausing in my hair as he looked away, lost in his own head for a moment. "Just...thinking," he finally admitted.

"Wanna talk about it?"

He hesitated before answering. "It's Sharon."

I groaned internally. "Not my favorite topic, but go ahead."

"We've been off for months now, but...it's gotten worse lately."

"Ever since she found out about Adrianna?" I asked, unable to hide the edge in my voice.

Trey looked down, nodding slowly. "Yeah...how'd you know?"

"She's not exactly subtle about hating my guts. Now that she knows we have a child together? You can bet that hate has only multiplied."

Trey sighed, rubbing his temples. "But why would she be jealous? I'm married to her."

I raised an eyebrow, giving him a look that said, Really? "You don't like it when I talk badly about her, but come on, Trey. She's always been shallow and insecure. She probably still sees me as a threat."

He looked at me with a softness in his eyes. "Well, who wouldn't?"

I took a deep breath, letting my thoughts settle. "Let me make one thing clear, Trey. Dri's your daughter, and I won't stop her from staying with you, but if she comes home one more time saying Sharon was mean to her, she won't be going over to your place again. And if I hear one more word about her being mistreated, I'll personally go over there and make sure Sharon knows just how serious I am."

Trey squeezed my hand, his voice firm. "Don't worry about that. I took care of it."

I looked at him, surprised. "What do you mean?"

He hesitated, glancing down before taking a deep breath. "I kicked her out."

I blinked, sitting up straight, stunned. "Wait...you kicked her out?"

He ran a hand over his face, seeming both relieved and conflicted. "First, she was mad rude to Dri, and honestly, she's been pushing my limits for years now. I tried to make it work because I loved her, but eventually, everything just built up, and I snapped."
