I was thinking about her all night. I wonder if she'll tell the kids. About how awkward I was. Why John, why do you have to be so stupid? Why can't you just man up and tell her that you miss her? That you love her.
I always get upset at myself I want to tell her so bad but I don't have the guts to. I'm picking up the kids this weekend. Can I tell her then?
I went to her house to go get the children for the weekend. I was so excited to see them, to see her.
I knocked on the door. She opened. I saw the kids going to get their stuff.
Me: Hi, Jessica.
Jessica: Hi, John.
Me: How are y-
Jessica: The kids are going to get their stuff.
Both of us: So how ar-
Jessica: Oh sorry you first.
Me: No ladies first.
Jessica: Exactly you go.
I laughed. She still had the same sense of humor that I knew and loved.
Me: Ok, anything for you. How are you?
Jessica: I'm really good actually.
Me: It's good to here that.
Kids: WE'RE READY!!!
Jessica: Um..ok I guess I'll see you Sunday.
Me: Yep
The kids come and Jessica starts closing the door.
Me: I miss-
The door closes
Me: you.
The door opens again.
Jessica: I miss you, too.
