Jessica: John...I don't know what's to say. Can I think about it? I'll tell the kids and see what they say.
Me: Ok...that' fair.
Jessica: They'll probably say yes.
I smiled at her and she smiled back. That meant that there is hope.
We went home and she called me.
Me: Hello?
Jessica: Hey, John.
Me: Did you tell the kids?
Jessica: Not yet.
Me: Why not?
Jessica: I worried that they might say no. I really do love you and I want to say yes but if they don't want to then I will be forced to say no.
Me: Don't think like that. They'll probably say yes.
Jessica: Yea maybe they will. I'll go ask them now.
I heard the phone being placed on the table. I heard her in the distance.
Jessica: KIDS!!!!!!!! COME DOWN STAIRS!!!!!!! I have something to tell you. So your father and I went on a date tonight. Anddddddd-he proposed.
There was a pause.
Jessica: Wait you guys are letting me say yes? THANK YOUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!
I heard footsteps getting louder and louder.
Me: THEY SAID YES!
Jessica: I KNOW.
Me: I am so happy.
Jessica: Me too. I love you John.
Me: I love you too Jessica.
