I told her that I would meet her at the cafe. I got there and I saw her sitting at the table. I checked my watch to make sure that I'm not late. Whew....I'm not.
I walked in and sat down next to her.
Me: Hi.
Jessica: Hey.
Me: How's it going?
Jessica: Good...good.
Me: Good.
Jessica: Wow this is awkward.
Me: Why?
Jessica: I don't know. We haven't been on a date in a couple years.
Me: I know but I still don't know why it's awkward. We obviously still love each other. We know almost everything about each other.
Jessica: It's true. I do love you. Maybe we can just take steps.
Me: Okay.
Jessica: Okay.
I was happy that we were able to work this out. I really do love her and I wanted us to get back together. I wasn't going to continue suffering over the fact that my family wasn't there. I wanted my family back. I wanted to be able to wake up and see a family. My family.
