I took a quick glance at the sky and sure enough, a dark cloud was rushing towards the High School.
"AMELIA! Shield. Now." Jack ordered.
"I don't know how!" I screamed (which gained some pretty weird looks by some middle schoolers goofing off in the High School courtyard).
"Just-wave your arms or something!"
"What the heck is that supposed to mean?!" I yelled as I threw my hands up in frustration. Instantly a filmy cover encased me.
"Like that." Jack nodded approvingly.
He gestured to Elsa and they started moving towards the stadium. "We need to block Pitch's attacks. He's probably going to try to destroy this high school. Just like the last one."
The last high school had burned down years ago. Some thought it was the weirdo chemistry teacher that did it. But I didn't see what darkness had to do with FIRE.
"Hold on, what am I supposed to do?" I asked.
"Just-stay there sweetie." Elsa answered. "We'll take care of this." I crossed my arms and glared at her and Jack until an idea popped into my head.
"What if I put up a shield above the stadium?"
"I'm sorry, what?!" Jack asked, somewhat surprised.
"Use my powers. I could put up a shield over the stadium so he can't attack it. You said my shields block out darkness right?"
"First of all, they're abilities. Not 'powers.' Second of all, you've never done this before. How do you know you can?"
"It can't hurt to try can it?"
I saw his head fall in submission. Elsa looked at me as if saying 'be careful.' Although I wasn't particularly sure how to do that in this situation.
I dropped my arms to my sides, and gradually raised them up, feeling the power surging in my arms, as I created a shield around us, and around the stadium. The dark cloud stopped moving instantly when it hit the film.
"Nice job." Jack said. "But maybe make it less of a show next time princess." He said tauntingly.
