Chapter Three: The Dark Princess

Kagome stared at the ceiling, for she couldn't sleep. She was still haunted by the fact that Naraku abducted her. She stood up and looked outside the window, seeing nothing but dark shades of purples and blacks. That means she couldn't tell if it was night or day. She opened the window to get a glance, but suddenly a small demon swooped inside. "Waaaa!" Kagome closed the window from having anymore enter. She quickly dashes through the room to try and find her bow and arrows, but they were no where to be seen. Kagome ran out the room.

The demon was following getting closer and closer. "Give me the Shikon Jewel Shards!!!" The demon growls. Kagome quickly ran and ran going through a room. The demon broke the door and followed her inside. "Hand them over!!" He growls. Kagome yelped as the demon lunged forward, suddenly seeing the demon explode in front of her very eyes. Kagome panted as she sat up in shock. Naraku stood, being the cause of the demon's death. "Foolish girl!" He raised an arm as Kagome covered her head. He slowly lowered his hand as he looked at her. "Oh, but you didn't know."

"H-Huh?" Kagome says softly in confusion. "Go to the window." He says. She stood up and looked as he ushered closely, watching too. "You see those demons roaming around and about?" He asks. Kagome nods a bit. "This is a fair warning: don't ever open the windows, and do you want to know why? Because since you are the Miko, your Shikon Jewel Shards attract them." Naraku declares. Kagome nodded as she quickly got a thought. "Wait...aren't you after the Jewel Shards as well?" She asks. "No. At least, not right now." Naraku smirks at clueless Kagome.

Kagome looks over at him and blinks. He grabs her as he then carries her. "And second warning: You are not allowed to step foot outside your room." Naraku states. Kagome gasps and holds onto his shoulders, for fear he would drop her. He places her down the bed and pulls out chains and cuffs. "W-What?!" Kagome gasps. "I wasn't going to let you go free so simply." Naraku says as smog grasps the chains and attaches them to the wall, along with the cuffs, handcuffing Kagome to the bed. "You will be punished as such, for two days."

Kagome swallows hard, and couldn't talk. What kind of punishment is this?! She thinks to herself. Naraku goes forward and lets his cold finger touch her chin as leaned against her neck. "Next time," he breathes down her neck. "Your punishment won't be so light next time, Miko." He says softly, yet deadly, sending a chill down her spine. He stands as he then heads off. Kagome grunts as she feels the cuffs tighten their grip on her, and the chains rattle. It's better to rest than it is to be suffering by these stupid chains and handcuffs...Inuyasha...Kikyo...

"Alright guys, we have to leave now." Inuyasha declares. "Where's Kagome? She hasn't returned since of last night." Miroku states. "She went back to her world to get something." Sango assures. "But! If that's the case, then she should have returned by now...Oh no! What if something bad happened to Kagome!" Shippo squeaks. "Okay okay whatever! I'll go to her world and then return her back safely, okay!" Inuyasha says slightly annoyed. The group nod as they watch him go off and run to the well. Inuyasha then spots her bow and arrows. "Huh? These are Kagome's weapons...why..."

Inuyasha held onto them as he jumps into the well, heading for her world. Inuyasha jumped out of the well and looks around, trying to catch a whiff of her scent. But he couldn't find her scent. Maybe she went out or something... Inuyasha thought to himself as he headed towards the house, being approached by Sota. "Inuyasha?" He speaks. "Oh it's you, hey have you seen Kagome?" Inuyasha asks. Sota blinked, a bit confused and shakes his head. "No, was she suppose to come back?" Sota asks. Inuyasha kept quiet. He couldn't go into depth, for fear he would scare Sota.

"Errr, we're playing that one game hide and seek, and I can't find her back in my world, so I thought that she was here hiding, now I have to go back and find her." Inuyasha smiles a bit as Sota smiles and laughs a bit. "That's my sis alright. The super good hider." Sota says. "Alright! I'm gonna go back to finding her! See ya...wait...do you have those dried potatoes?" Inuyasha asks. "Oh you mean potato chips?" Sota says. "Yeah!" Inuyasha nods. "Give me a sec." Sota quickly goes inside the house to get a bag of chips.

He quickly hands them to Inuyasha as the dog boy thanks him and jumps into the well. Damn it! So, Kagome didn't make it home...grrrr...who dares take her! Inuyasha quickly jumps out of the well chewing on a potato chip. "Inuyasha!" Miroku and the others run towards him. "Did you have luck finding Kagome?!" Sango says raising her hopes. Inuyasha shook his head. "Her little brother said she didn't get home..I didn't want to scare the kid so I told him I was playing hide and seek with Kagome." Inuyasha blushes in utter embarrassment.

Shippo laughs as Miroku thinks. "Was there any evidence that you found of Kagome?" He asks. "Hmmm?" Inuyasha swallows as he remembers the bow and arrows and places the bag of chips down. "Yeah! When I was going to the well, I found this!" He says showing his friends Kagome's weapons. Sango's eyes widen. "Oh no...we should go back to the village and ask Kaede if she has seen Kagome!" Sango says. The others nod as they head for the village, Inuyasha holding the bow and arrows in one hand and the bag of potato chips in the other.

"Old hag!" Inuyasha calls. "Inuyasha? Is that ye calling me?" Kaede asks. "Have you seen Kagome?" Miroku asks. "Kagome? Why I have not seen her in the village. Was she suppose to come?" She asks. Inuyasha's eyebrows furrow as his jaw clenches. "Grrrr....Damn it!" Inuyasha passes the potato chips to Miroku and the bow and arrows to Sango. "Inuyasha! Ye must not make any assumptions! Kagome might have gone off for a bath or something important!" Kaede yells. "Grrrr...I've gotta go and try and find her scent!" Inuyasha states.

"Inuyasha." Kikyo's soft voice calls. Inuyasha's eyes widen as he glances at her. "K-Kikyo!" His world now focuses on her. She looked at him, as he quickly rushed to her. "Kikyo!" He hugs her tightly as she hugs him back. "I...I didn't think you'd come back so quickly! What about your mission?" Inuyasha asks. Kikyo smiles gently. "Oh that silly mission. I just had to make sure a girl went home safely." Kikyo grasps a beautiful flower and sniffs it. "And like I promised, I'd be back." Kikyo says softly. Inuyasha almost bit his lip, but held back. "...Kikyo...I..." suddenly he felt her lips press against his.

Inuyasha gave into her kiss and held her tightly. "Now Inuyasha, why don't we go on a walk?" Kikyo says. "Huh? You mean like a date?!" Inuyasha asks. Kikyo smiles. "Why yes. Haven't we gone on dates before?" Kikyo ruffles his gorgeous white hair. "Y-Yeah...But that was before Naraku..." Inuyasha blinked. Naraku. He hasn't seen him in a while. "...You were with Naraku weren't you? When he kidnapped you and took you to his mansion?" Inuyasha recalls. "I escaped. Did I not? For you Inuyasha." Kikyo smiles as she pulls him into another sweet yet overwhelming kiss.

Kikyo slowly pulled away as she held his hand as if they were a married couple. Miroku sighed as Sango glared at Inuyasha acting lovey dovey. "So Kagome is no longer his one priority?!" She grunts. "Remember, Inuyasha has been in love with Kikyo since he met her." Miroku says. "So I think we should look for Kagome." Miroku states as Sango nods in agreement. "We'll have to go on foot though. Kirara needs to stay behind with Shippo." Sango says. "I agree, it's better for the two to be behind." Miroku slowly grabs Sango's behind as he earns a slap.

"Keep your hands to yourself Miroku! Kagome is much more important than touching me!" Sango declares. Miroku smiles. "Oh so, if we were off on a journey alone you'd let me touch your body?" Miroku says. Sango blushes but hits him. "Get your mind out of the gutter!" She growls. "Alright Sango! Kagome is important!" Miroku says as he walks with her, heading towards a forest. Sango looks ahead in a strong manner. Kagome...please be safe! I really hope Miroku and I can find you...and I hope Inuyasha would look for you as well...just hang on tight!
