when I opened my eyes,
to see the eminence of life
as well as the mother universe,
I poured in oblivion,
some happiness into an empty chalice.
The heat of the air
and the thirst of the nature,
took some happiness away;
And my foes too spilled some of it.
At times when I was down,
for reasons one or the other,
I myself , drank some in despair.
At last,
when my beloved ones
stole some happiness from my cup,
The cup became empty
And So I wondered all during my Youth
for the ways to fill the cup again
But it was only in the death bed ,
I realized that,
Happiness pours not from the chalice
but from the heart of the mother universe
and the one
who had once been in the pain.
