Hi I'm Avery, I'm the type of girl that people know but wasn't popular. I've never wanted to be in the spotlight or wanted attention. I'd much rather do what I need to do without confrontation.
It's mid July and I'm feeling great, work is good and my life is good. I've just payed my rent and I'm feeling much better. I'm driving to work and just as I'm reaching times square I notice how insanely bad traffic is. Shit. I have to be at work in ten minutes with Starbucks! I still have to go there and get the drinks!
I finally squeeze my way through in my navy blue ford focus and walk into a crowded Starbucks and panicking baristas. There are girls crying and taking pictures with their iPhones that their parents probably pay for. I'm finally making my way through when a tall figure bumps into me and knocks me into the crowd, I start to panic.
I'm full of fear when a large arm grabs me and pulls me out of the crowd,
"I'm so sorry," he voice filled with concern, a British accent noticeable,
"Liam!" "Liam over here!"
"Hey Liam!" girls shout left and right,
"It's fine, accidents happen," I assure him softly,
"I'm Liam," he sticks his hand out,
"Oh really? I hadn't guessed, I'm Avery," I laugh as I shake his hand,
Suddenly the crowd becomes crazier and he begins to get pulled away,
"Nice meeting you!" he smiles,
"Yeah you too!" I smile weakly and give a slight wave.
I glance at my watch 7:55. I have five minutes and still no coffee. Fuck me.
