Sam sat next to Dean's hospital bed, his heart feeling like it was made of lead. He turned as Cas appeared behind him and said, "Hey Cas. I'm glad you're here." Cas walked over and replied, "I came to help. I can heal his body, but his mind will still be dormant. We'll have to go inside it to wake him up." Sam shot to his feet and cried, "What are you waiting for? Do it!" Cas placed his hand on Dean's forehead and the injuries all over Dean's body vanished. Then Cas looked at Sam and Sam nodded. Sighing, Cas sent Sam into Dean's mind, then did the same to himself.

~Inside Dean's Head~

Sam looked around at the thousands of rooms that formed Dean's mind, then jumped as Cas appeared behind him. Cas stated, "We'll have to find the room in which his sentience is held. The rest of the rooms are all thoughts and memories. I have no idea which room is which, so just start opening doors." They each took a side of the hallway and started opening doors, looking into each room. Sam opened door after door, until he reached the last few. Cas had already finished his side, so he joined Sam. Pushing open one door, Sam was shocked to see Dean and Cas sitting in Dean's room shirtless, making out with each other. Sam looked over at Cas and shouted incredulously, "He thinks about kissing you? That's new!" Cas shifted uncomfortably and answered, "No Sam, that's a memory." Then he walked to the next door and opened it. A smile spread across his face as he said, "Found him." Sam rushed over and found Dean snoozing in a white room. Cas shushed him, then sighed and pressed his lips against Dean's. Dean opened his eyes and then wrapped his arms around Cas's neck, pulling him closer. Then, pulling away, he breathed, "What are you doing in my head?" Sam answered, "You were in a coma. We came to wake you up." Cas sent Sam back to the real world, then himself. Dean sat up and looked around, his eyes landing on Cas.
