Call of nature

Time lost years ago.

Souls reunited as one.

Old spirit in a Young body.

The call of the magnificent nature is strong.

The wish to feel the wind blowing in your face on an open plain.

The craving for the green and brown earth between and under your naked feet.

The fresh scent of the forest blowing into your nostrils.

The whispers of your ancestors on the wind welcoming you home again.

The need to plummet your feet into the cool stream.

The humid and sticky air wrapping you in it's loving embrace under the shade of an old cranky oak.

The kiss of morning dew on your sweet soft lips when you wake.

The erg to take on the largest tree and scale up it and nestle in it's branches.

The curiosity of the creeping mist trying to figure out your spirit.

The terrifying howling coming from wolf pups on there first moon.

The figures and characters created by shadows cascading over the forest canopy.

The beauty of the night sky, chasing your breath away and sending your heart racing.

The seasons adorned in rich colors that can never be captured correctly by the hand of a painter.

The taste of the abundant food grown in untainted soil and fresh clean water from a stream.

The ability to walk through a thick wetland and learning it's brimming with life and warm waters.

The wisdom of nature revealing it's secrets and beauty to you.

The site of wild horses running wild like there souls, manes a mess, unbroken, free.

The roaring of a waterfall that is strong enough to make the ground around it tremble in fear .

The sight of a once jagged rock run smooth by the hands of a glacier.

I am told that this form of living is lost to years long ago.

I am told that souls of our loved ones and ancestors lie hidden in us.

I am told that despite my young appearance my knowledge exceeds my years.

And the call to be free, like the midnight blue butterfly is strong.

The call of nature is powerful.
