Elana gilbert had just woken up from that magic comma she was enjoying being human again she had woken up at 7 am with a huge headache so she called in for school she got dressed in a pair of yoga pants her slippers and a green tank top she wore a sports bra underneath she heard a soft knock on the door so she went downstairs and opened the door there stood Elijah mikaelson holding two cups of coffee he smiled, "hello elana how are u I was in town and thought I'd come by for a visit and maybe we can have a coffee and catch up but if I'm intruding I can visit another time, "no it's ok come in I could actually use a coffee I have a headache, he walked in and followed her to the kitchen she sat on a barstool then Elijah sat next to her but turned to face her he sniffed the air noticing elana didn't smell the same then it occurred to him she had mentioned a headache earlier vampires didn't get headaches he listened then he heard it a heart beat, "so elana how long have u been human again?" How did u know? "I'm a vampire I can hear your heartbeat how are u human again? "Damon died Bonnie was the anchor to the other side so the other side collapsed and the 2 of them got trapped in a 1978 prison world with a crazy gemini witch kai Parker then Bonnie got Damon out I had Rick compel away our love then we worked things out kei escaped tortured me Bonnie escaped later and she brought me the cure I took it kei linked my life to Bonnie with a 60 year sleeping spell Damon and Stefan were murdered Bonnie used the Phoenix stone and revived me and here I am human again but Damon moved on he's seeing Bonnie since she brought him and Stefan back I'm over it I'm over them both, "I'm very sorry all that happened to u elana that's terrible, "thanks Elijah that means a lot but I have something to ask of u can u please not tell anyone I'm cured I don't want anyone knowing she said standing up she walked over to the window and stared out of it her head started hurting again she put her hand on it then she began coughing so hard she couldn't breathe she turned towards elijah but lost her balance and stared to fall but elijah caught her his face was close to hers he looked concerned, "Elana are u ok? "I'm fine it's nothing don't worry elijah, "elana it's not nothing u are burning up, he touched her face it was hot her eyes fluttered closed she lost consciousness elijah was worried he carried her upstairs and played her in bed he called a Dr who came and saw her he examined her, "I'm sorry Mr mikaelson but she has valley fever I just gave her a shot of penicillin and an anti viral is there someone who I can call to take care of her? Her family is out of town so I guess I'll have to care for her, "ok here's some medicine for her and to bring her fever down u could bathe her I think she will be ok lots of people recover from this with constant care elijah touched her face it was hot he went to the bathroom ran her a bath he went back to Her room pulled the covers back pulled off her pants then her tank top he left her underwear on and bra he carried her to the bathroom and placed her in the tub he gently bathed her he cleaned her up and her eyes opened,
"Elijah where am I ? " you're at home elana your safe u passed out I called a Dr I guess u have valley fever and I called Rick and Jeremy but they're stuck in traffic out of town there trying to get here so I took care of u I put u in this tub to cool u down and I'm glad you are awake" , he said putting the cloth to her forehead her eyes caught his then she grabbed his hand and kissed it he blushed he never had a woman do that he always did it he shook it off, "do you want out? "Yes I'm kinda cold now he got up grabbed a towel and gave it to her she put it around her and dried her off gently she stumbled forward and landed against him he wrapped her in the towel and picked her up and carried her back to her room he put her down by her dresser she rummaged through it and grabbed a pair of yoga pants a t-shirt a bra and underwear Elijah turned around to give her privacy she slipped off her wet underwear and put on dry ones she put on a dry bra then the shirt and pants, "Elijah u can look now I'm dressed" ,he turned to face her, "How do u feel darling he sped to her and touched her face his cool hands made her feel less hot she leaned into his touch caused him to blush she pulled him closer she rested her forehead on his chest she looked up at him and her hand cupped his face he leaned into it, "thank u Elijah for helping me" "your welcome elana do u think you could eat I made soup for you? "Yeah I think I can, "do you wish me to carry you elana? " I think I can walk just give me your hand in case, he held out his hand and they walked slowly downstairs he sat her on the couch and went in her kitchen and came back with a bowl of soup he put it on her tv tray she took the spoon and tasted it she hummed in appreciation,
"Its really good Elijah, "my mother used to make it for me when I was sick as a child of is her recipe but I changed it a bit, "well it's very good I like the peppermint in it I've always loved mint it's my favorite, "mine also always has been" "Elijah I have blood bags in my fridge help yourself I no longer need them, "sounds good I'll be back shortly he left again and came back he sat next to her on the couch she saw a small blood spot on his chin, "uh elijah u have something on your chin she reached out and touched it with her finger a little spot of blood coated her finger he grabbed her hand and sucked the blood off her finger his face changed he let go of her hand and was about to pull away but she stopped him he looked away as if he hated his vampire face her hand cupped his face and she made him look at her and moved closer to him and she kissed him softly he was stiff for a moment she was about to pull away but his hands circled her waist he pulled her into his lap and kissed her his kiss was passionate she lightly bit his lip he let out a groan she began to unbutton his shirt he stopped her, "elana I'd love nothing more than to make love to u right now but u are still sick and I want to do this correctly I want to at least take u out to dinner or something so let us leave this as a to be continued but we can kiss all we wish in the meantime elana smiled and pecked his lips, "Elijah, "yes elana, "this is the best sick day I ever had she said laying her head on his shoulder, he smiled and they talked and watched movies all night,
