Chapter 3

I kept my eyes to the ground as we entered our tutor room. I suddenly felt too shy to look up at everyone to see what they thought of me. I slowly made my way towards the front of the class where I gave the teacher the slip to sigh, that I hate to take back at the end of the day. I quietly gave the slip to Mr Hob: Odd surname to be honest.

“Aha, you must be the new girl, Isabella right?” He asked, he seemed on the old side.

“Err... I prefer Bella if you don’t mind.” I asked shyly.

“Of cause, so I’m your tutor but I also teach history.” He said kindly. He quickly signed the slip before giving it back to me. He seems to be a nice teacher. “As a traditional thing for the new students in this class it is seen that you should introduce yourself and say a bit about yourself to everyone.” Whoa, whoa, whoa, I take it back. Introducing myself in front of a whole class is just a no go. I think I need to borrow some of that confidence from Alli or at least ask her to help me improve my confidence. I nodded, blushing slightly, turning to face the class and saw that everyone was staring at me with minimum talk. Cr*p.

“Umm... Hi, my name is Isabella but I prefer Bella. Me and my mum moved here from America and love listening to music.” I said, probably too quiet to hear but then again you could probably hear a pin drop. I looked around the room for Alli, seeing that she had a spare set next to her I made a quick retreat to the chair.

She giggled softly as I sat myself down at the chair next to her. I rolled my eyes at her. I felt to calm and confident around her as if we have been friends for a long time and I hope we can be best friends for ever. God that sounds so cheesy.

“At least you didn’t trip like someone I know.” Alli said raising her eyebrow, “but he was trying to be cocky.” Alli laughed to herself.

“Who?” I asked, curious.

“My brother.” She said. I scanned the room looking for a boy who looked the same as Alli but pretty much all the boys had blonde, short or long, and tanned skin. Alli could see that I was trying to look for him and whispered, “He’s the boy at the back table with the blonde haired bimbo next to him.” I turned my head to the boy at the back of the room. He had light blonde hair, blue and was really tanned, like a surfer. He was like Alli’s twin, only slightly older. He turned his head towards me and smiled. I blushed and looked back to the front of the room.

“How come you’re not sitting with your brother? Don’t you have other friends not trying to sound rude or anything?” I said, blushing deeper as I realised what I had asked. why wouls she want to sit with her brother 'cause I wouldn't want to sit with my brother if I had one.

“It’s okay. I would sit with my brother and friends if it wasn’t for that bimbo. She clings to Cody all the time and always demands his attention. I wish he would realise what she is really like. I hate being within 5 feet of her.” Alli explained, “Sorry I’m going on.” She apologised.

“It’s okay; it is good to get it out of your system.” I said reassuring her it was alright. “What’s her name?”  I asked, realising that she had never mentioned it.

“Melissa.” Alli said simply.

“Quieten down please class.” Mr Hob said as began calling out the register. Once that was done he told us about the daily notices. By the time he was finished the bell went for first period. Everyone quickly got up from their seats and walked out the room chatting loudly in many groups.

I quietly got up, looking at my timetable and groaned. Maths, I just hated that subject.

“Bella, your timetable isn’t going to get you to class. Now come on or we’ll be late.” Alli said to me as she grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the room, the empty room should I emphasise. She dragged me through many corridors, until finally we made it to , which I'm sure is, the maths class room.
