I looked through the sea of people, hungrily looking at me like I was a piece of meat. There was not one girl.
Male, male, male, male, oh look! Another male.
After I got over it, Newt took me to a private room. "This is where you'll be sleeping. I'm sorry, we don't really know what to do with you. As you might've noticed, you're the only girl." He said awkwardly.
"Oh really?" I responded. "I hadn't noticed." I answered sarcastically. I walked into the room, sitting on the old, creaky bed. "Well? Are you gonna stand and watch me, or are you gonna let me sleep?" I asked. The day had been far too long, and this boy was annoying you.
"Oh." He said, looking startled. "Sorry." He said, looking flustered and walked away.
I lay down and tried to sleep. I closed your eyes for a good hour, but I could not drift off. After a couple of hours, I decided to just stare at the wall. Why couldn't I sleep? It was really disconcerting.
The next morning, after no sleep whatsoever, I got up, not tired at all. It was like I had the best nights sleep ever, without any sleep. Newt came for me quite early, showing me all the jobs.
The builders were crude, joking around about how I was a girl and they should leave the work to the men. I told one of them to piss off, but I realised later that was a terrible idea.
The bricknicks were better, I got on well with them. I liked them a lot. We joked around and I liked spending time with them.
Then there were the sloppers. They were some of the loveliest people alive, but that was house elf work. I was not a house elf.
The baggers were pretty cool, they reminded me of the Gryffindors. Always joking, boasting about how courageous they were. It made me miss home.
The cooks were nice, but the comments about "putting me in my place" sort of put me off.
The slackers, med-jacks, runners and track hoes were all the same. They were all nice, funny, smart. But they were all holding back, because I'm a girl. It was all the same.
So, it was no surprise that, later, a bunch of guys came up to me, smirking. I hardly knew any of them, just the front man. His name was James or something. The one I told to piss off earlier.
"How you doing sweetheart?" He smiled. "I wanted you to see what happens when you disrespect your superiors."
I rolled my eyes, thinking he was just being stupid. I was wrong.
I never saw the first one coming. He punched me square in the jaw. The second one I saw coming. He tried to go for my nose, but I blocked and punched him in the stomach. I rounded on another guy and tripped him up, stomping on his shoulder. After I finished on the other guys, I went up to James.
"Leave me alone." I spat, punching his nose. Satisfied with the resounding crack, I walked away.
After another sleepless night, I got up again, not tired at all. When I saw the group of boys, marching towards my cabin, I knew I messed up. I burst out the door, running towards the massive doors. Even a "Greiver" would be better than this. As I ran, I saw a glimpse of white from the corner of my eye. I stopped, focusing in on it. It was a pure white rabbit...
In a top hat?
I watched as it looked at me and then turned, bouncing into a large hole, I was sure I hadn't seen before.
"I've officially gone Bellatrix Lestrange mad." I said to myself, jumping into the hole.
I'm sorry this took so long! I really am. Just, alot of stuff's been going on, and I'm writing another book with my other friend, and I have a preferences book and all that fun stuff. I love you all!
