Chapter 2: Unexpected

Aurora

Suddenly, every girl was astonished the moment he walked in. I honestly don't blame them, he was incredibly attractive. He had dark brown hair, intense green eyes, and a strong firm body. He was quite muscular. He looked like he wasn't to be messed with, he gave this vibe that quite honestly, scared me. He didn't even bothered to introduce himself. He just came in and sat down. Everyone couldn't stop staring at him, it was like an alien walked in. I mean, sure, he was attractive, but I don't understand what's the big deal about being good looking. I didn't pay much attention to him, he wasn't a celebrity.

Matias: "What's wrong with everybody?" He said annoyed.
Me: "Everybody is just surprised by his looks."
Matias: "You don't seem interested though." He smiled.
Me: "I don't see the big deal, plus I've got work to do!" I said enthusiastically.

Matias

Unbelieveable, he just walked in and everyone was already smitten by him. I don't understand what's the big deal. Whatever, it's none of my business.
*Looks at Aurora*
She doesn't seem affected. Unlike all these superficial girls, it honestly annoys me.

Aurora

Mr.Brick: "Everybody we will be starting a new unit, quite frankly, it's my favorite one. We will be studying the art of music. We are going to explore the different styles of music we all have within each other. Each one of you will perform a piece, you may have a partner if you find it suitable."

Everyone felt relieved they didn't have to do a solo. I was relieved as well, I'll get to do this project with Matias, he's very good with his music.

Mr.Brick: "However, I will be the one to assign your partners"

There always has to be one that one teacher that ruins everything. I hardly talk to anyone in this class, heck, I hardly talk to anyone in this school. I've never had a girl best friend, or friend. They never seem to like me....for a long time, I thought there was something wrong with me. Until, I met Matias, he was always there for me, even protected me from some of the bullies. When I was around him I felt like I was a safe. I'm quite anxious about my partner. But, I have to try again, I can't give up. I need to connect with more people. I can't always rely on Matias to be there for me.

Matias

Damn, I really, really wanted to be with Aurora. It wouldn't only be great to be her partner because of her amazing vocals, but has her best friend. I remember the first time she sang, I was shocked by her voice, and the energy she transmitted when she sang blew me away. Hopefully, I get someone just has talented. I doubt it, but it's good to dream.

Aurora

Mr.Brick: "In the projector you'll see your name, and your partner's next to it."

I crossed my fingers for Matias to be my partner. My partner wasn't Matias, but Mason Carter. I can't believe my luck. I became nervous, I didn't know why. I don't know anything about the guy, plus, he always had that mean look in his face. He's intimidating.

Mason

I can't believe I have to do a project on my first day of school. I can't believe my luck. The worst part is my parter is a girl. They're always so clingy. This is going to be so burdensome. Who is Aurora anyways?

Mason: "Hey, do you know who Aurora is?" I asked the girl sitting next to me.
Girl: "Oh, ya. She's right over there, you should be careful around her, she's a boy whore," she said pointing at Aurora.
Mason: "You know her?" I said with a hint of annoyance.
Girl: "No, and I don't wouldn't want to." She said with a smile.
Mason: "If you don't know her, then you shouldn't judge her." I said with a strong tone.

I was annoyed. I hated those type of girls. I never understood how people can judge someone without them even knowing them.

Aurora

Before I knew it, Mason was standing next to me.

Mason: "You're Aurora?"
Me: "Yes, and you're Mason." I said, a little intimidated.
Okay, I need to chill. Give the guy an opportunity, you don't even know him.
Mason: " I don't plan to waste my time, not with you, nor anyone." He stated with a cold tone.
Who does he think he is? God?!
Aurora chill. Patience is everything.
Me: "Of course." I said with a vain popping out of my forehead.
Mason: *sigh*
Me: "Any talents that may help us with the project?"
Mason: "I can play the guitar."
Me: "Really?! That's great!" I said enthusiastically. "I could write the music if you'd like, I'm a pretty decent song writer..."
Mason: "Is that doubt I hear?" He said with a strong tone.
Me: "No sir...I mean! Mason..."
Oh lord Jesus, just take me with you.
Mason: "Is that all?"
Me: "What do you mean?" I tilted with head in confusion.
Mason: "Is that all your talent?" He said with a hint of annoyance.
Me: "Yes..." I said.
I shouldn't have lied, I could sing. But I wasn't confidence in my voice. I was told I was an amazing vocalist, but I lacked the courage to sing in front a crowd.  My insecurities. 😭
Mason: "Let's make something clear, I don't like working with people like you, or anyone in that matter. So just write the song about whatever you want, and I'll just play it." He said walking away from me.

Mason

When I walked up to her I saw her beautiful blue, yet green eyes. She was small, slim yet curvy. Her smile was mind blowing. She was quite obvious about her emotions, she showed something different in every facial expression she made. From the way she looked down when she lied, to the way she tilts her head in confusion. She's quite the funny girl. But working with someone like her will be bothersome, I knew it the moment I saw her.

Aurora

I don't even know what I was expecting. All I know is that he's arrogant and I entitled. Who does he think he is? He really knows how to mess with a girls temper. What do I do now!? I can't do all the work! Gesh. This is bad. I can't even change my partner because I feel bad (not for him but the person who gets him) . Plus, I refuse to give up. I need to find away to make him work with me, and take me seriously.
