Chapter 15: Forgiveness

Aurora

When I headed out, I saw Mason waiting for me. (Picture above)
I thought he was going to stop talking to me, since we finished the project.
Me: "Mason? What are you doing here?"
Mason: "Isn't it obvious? I'm waiting for you."
Me: "why? I mean I thought you were going to stop talking to me..."
Mason: "Is that what you want?"
Me: "No..." I said looking down. "not at all." I looked up at him.
Mason: "Good." He said with a smile/smirk in his face.

Mason

I was content when I heard her say she still wanted me in her life. The truth is, I want Aurora in my life too. Not just be in it, I want her to be part of it. I can't stay away from her anymore. I can't, I don't want to.
I don't know what this means, but I know that I want her everything. Her flaws, her clumsiness, her beauty, her innocence, etc.
I don't know if this is love...I need to find out...

Aurora

Before I knew it, Mason pulled me in his embrace.
Me: "Mason what are you doing?!"
Mason: "Hold on stay like this for a moment." He whispered with his voice breaking down.
Me: "O-Okay..."
I didn't know why he was doing this, but I liked being in his arms.

Mason

The moment I pulled her into my embrace. My heart leaped, my heart started pounding, I yearned of desire.
I didn't want to let her go, ever since she came into my life I don't feel empty anymore. She's been the only person I know that has fought for me, and cared for me. She became the only thing that mattered.

Aurora

Suddenly I felt someone's hand in my wrist separating my body from Mason. I looked up, and he was standing there, Matias.
Matias: "Don't touch her," he said menacingly.
Mason: "Or what?" He said with a smirk on his face.
Matias threw the first punch, but Mason dodged it. It all happened in seconds.
Aurora: "Guys!! Stopp!!" I pleaded. "please stop!" I shouted with tears in my eyes.

Mason

The moment I heard her cry, my heart broke, I couldn't stand hearing her cry. Matias was mad, I understood why. I would have been to, I don't want to see her cry, I'll just let Matias take his anger out so we can be done this.
Matias hit me. Hit after hit.
Aurora: "Matias!! Stop!!" She pleaded.
She's crying...for me...
Until, he stopped after the security guards came. I fainted.
Next thing I know, I woke to the warmth of Aurora's hands on mine. She was sleeping next to me.
Me: "Aurora?"
Aurora: "Hmmm?" She said opening her eyes. "Mason?! You're awake!" She jumped and hugged me tightly. "you're okay!" She said with tears in her eyes.
Me: "I'm okay..." I said smiling hugging her back. "Why are we in a hospital?"
Aurora: "Well, you fainted...you don't remember?" She said while letting me go.
Me: "I just remember...Matias and I were fighting, and you were crying...are you okay?"
Aurora: "I'm okay." She said while giving me a reassuring smile.
You're okay...that's good.
Aurora: "But, what were you thinking?! You could have gotten seriously injured...and you let yourself get hurt!" She said with tears in her eyes. "Do you not care about yourself at all?!"
Me: "I-I just wanted you to stop crying...I thought that if I fought back, I thought you would get worse..."
Aurora: "You idiot." She said hugging me. "I can't believe you"
Me: "I'm sorry for worrying you..."

Matias

I was so angry at the time. I didn't realize what I was doing.
I feel guilty, and disgusted of myself for what I did to Mason. Aurora is really mad at me, I really messed up.
Flashback
Aurora: "Please stop!!"
I'm sorry, but I can't stop now.
Aurora: "Matias!! Stop" she cried.
She tells me to stop? What about Mason? That made me furious. I noticed Mason stopped fighting back. Who does he think he is?! He doesn't even think I'm worth fighting with!
Security: "Stop!! Now!!" The security guard screamed at us while separating me from Mason.
Security 2: "He fainted-" the security guard said while holding Mason.
Aurora didn't hesitate to run at his side. She cried at his bruised face.
Me: "Aurora-"
Aurora: "Get away from us!" She said with tears in her eyes.
Back to the Present
I then saw what I had done. I became blinded by jealousy. I hurt Aurora instead of protecting her.

Aurora

I'm glad Mason is okay. I can't believe Matias would do something like this. When they were fighting he didn't look like the Matias I knew. The Matias I knew was gentle, happy, caring. But the one I met today was violent, a monster.

Matias: "Aurora." He said while I got out of Mason's hospital room.
Me: "Don't" I said with my voice breaking down.
Matias: "I'm sorry. This day wasn't supposed to be like this..." He said with tears in his eyes.
Me: "How could you?" I said with tears falling down my cheeks.
Matias: "I-I was jealous. I couldn't-I can't stand seeing you with him"
Me: "You did all this because you're jealous?!"
Matias: "I love you Aurora."
Me: "W-what?"
Matias: "I really, really love you and I'm not talking about the kind of love you have with a friend."
Me: "Stop it. You don't- You can't love me."
Matias: "But I do." He said while putting my hand is his chest. "You feel that?"
Me: "This is still no excuse for what you did." I said while moving my hand away from him.
Matias: "You're right...but will you forgive me?"
Me: "I'm not the one you should be asking for forgiveness." I said while walking away.

Matias

She's right. There is no excuse for what I've done. I need to ask Mason for forgiveness.
*Knock-Knock*
Mason: "Yes?"
Me: "Can I come in?"
