My hands grip the steering wheel tightly. Heart pounding against my chest, I speed down the winding road.

I left him, I just left him alone. I should go back. I need to go back.

Right when I make a u-turn a red truck cuts me off making me slam on the break.

"Jesus!" I screech laying my head on the wheel.

There's a tap on my window along with a muffled voice, "Luna, Luna! I'm so sorry. Please open the door."

"Ami!" I sob climbing out of the car embracing him. "We have to go back, Ami he's still there and I don't know who's after me but they're coming!"

"Luna calm down. I'm going back for him okay. Derrick is in the truck, he's taking you home."

"N-no I'm coming with you." I protest.

He shakes his head motioning for Derrick to grab me.

"Don't touch me! No! Ami I am coming with you!" I yell thrashing in Derrick's arms. He gently lifts me up carrying me to the truck locking me in the back seat.

"I'm sorry Luna, Alpha Tristan said you'd be this way. He gave us orders to get you back home immediately." Derrick explains climbing in the driver's seat taking off.

I look through the back window glaring at Ami's fleeting wolf.

I hate him.

The drive back I couldn't stop worrying about him; the both of them.

I just want things to go back to the way they were.

"This isn't the way back." I sniffle staring at the trees blurring by.

"I know. We're going to my hideout."

I sit up in my seat confused,"Huh?"

He glances back at me winking,"You'll see."

"Derrick I don't think this is a good idea. We should go back to the house."

"We will I just want to show you this first. I'm sure you could use a distraction right now. Right?"

I nod gnawing my lip nervously.

It's a little distance away from Gerry and Theresa's place. Hidden down a dirt trail.

It's a cabin!

"It's beautiful." I whisper.

The biggest log cabin I've ever seen lays in front of us.

"Knew you'd like it." He says proudly.

Helping me out of the car we walk together up the front porch into the house.

It lights up like a Christmas tree and my jaw hits the floor. The ceiling is so tall with wolves carved into it.

Winding steps lead to the upstairs, but before I can wonder up Derrick takes my arm guiding me to the living room.

It's more like a movie theater; with it's large flat screen television and surround sound. A popcorn machine included.

"Take a seat Luna, do you want anything? Something to drink or eat?" Derrick asks from the kitchen.

"A water please. Can I make popcorn?"
