What's next after that. What happens after nafs e Mutmainna. You're done. The greatest achievement in this world is to submit to Quran, Sunnah and Shariah. Now, Nafs e Mutmainna person, return to your Rabb, for your nafs is pleased with Allah, and Allah is pleased with your nafs. Can you imagine, the nafs that Allah is pleased with?

This tazkiyah brings a person all the way up to Nafs e Mutmainna. Whereas Nafs e Ammara brings a person to do every sin. This nafs has a far greater power to make us go astray than Shaytan. Ulema, Mashaik explain in Quran, in Surah Yusuf, the foster father who took Surah Yusuf into his home, when he was addressing his wife, look what you have done, "Indeed your plotting and your scheming, o women, is 'azeem'" as Nafs e Ammara is azeem. Indeed the plotting of Shaytan is weak. Shaytan is weak, nafs is azeem. Nafs is a far greater enemy than Shaytan.

Nafs starts out like a child, child is stubborn. If I have a thought of sin, is it from Shaytan or nafs? If you have a desire to do sin, and you hold yourself back, then after few moments, you get the thought for another type of sin, then a few hours, days later, idea for different sin, this is Shaytan. Shaytan doesn't care what sin he gets you to do, as long as you sin. If you get the temptation to do the same category of sin repeatedly, this means it is nafs. Because nafs is like a child, it's stubborn. If they have a desire, they will not be fulfilled until that particular desire is fulfilled. Stuck on sin, addicted to sin, a cycle of sin, maybe one week, month, year, five years passes between doing the same sin, this is a sign that it is the nafs.
