Cousins / A Joe Sugg and Zoe Sugg Fanfiction

Chapter 3

"Everybody down here now!" Mum's excited voice called from downstairs. "I've got brilliant news!"

I sighed. Mum always had something 'brilliant' to tell us. It was usually something like she'd got a £2 of your next shop voucher at Tesco.

We all sat around the the table. Daisy on my lap and the others on the many seats around the table. Dad sat next to Mum, he too looked confused. He obviously didn't know what was going on as well.

"Well, I'm sure you all heard me talking on the the phone. Guess who I was talking to?" Mum didn't wait for an answer. "Tracey! Your Auntie Tracey!"

"Wow. How is she?"

"How did she get in contact?"

"Where does she live?"

My sisters and I all fired questions at Mum. Tracey was Mum's sister. They had lost contact when Mum went travelling around the world. Often, I would find Mum looking in all the phone books she owned and googling her name. However Mum only knew her maiden name.

"Tracey said that she was looking everywhere for some information about me and she finally found some online. She is now divorced but has taken her ex husband's name, Sugg."

I swear my heart skipped a beat as Mum said that word. It couldn't be them. It's probably just a coincidence, I told myself.

"They have two children, although they're grown up now."

My pulse quickened and Eve, Ellie and I all exchanged glances. They both loved YouTube as well but weren't as obsessive as me.

"I'm not sure what their jobs are. We didn't have time to talk about that. Their names are Zoe and Joe. I recognise the name Joe Sugg from somewhere. Maybe it's from that Username Evie book you -"

"Oh my God!! No way!" I screamed.

Eve looked in shock and Ellie danced around the kitchen with me.

Mum and Dad looked bewildered and sat in amazement.

"I didn't realise you'd be that excited to have some new cousins..."

"How old are they Mum?" Eve interrupted.

"Umm... 24 and 25," Mum answered in confusion. 

Eve screamed and came to hug me.

"Girls! That's enough!" Dad said sternly. "Will one of you please explain what is going on?"

I tried to calm myself so that my voice wouldn't be too shaky.

"Mum, Dad. Zoe Sugg, Joe Sugg. Two of the biggest YouTubers ever. Zoella, ThatcherJoe. My idols. I met them both."

I look of realisation came across my parents' faces. They both smiled.

"How didn't I realise that before?" Dad said laughing.

My parents had never really got the whole YouTube/ Vlogger thing but they just accepted that that was what their daughters loved. Maybe they would understand it more now.

I felt so happy and I literally couldn't believe it...
