Sally Stark 2

Chapter Six

Sally's POV:

We arrived in Monaco this morning and were in a limo going to a restaurant. I was wearing a suit mum spent all morning trying to get me to wear a dress but gave up after an hour of debating.

We pulled up at the front of the restaurant and walked in "you know, its Europe. Whatever happens in the next twenty minutes just go with it" dad told pepper as I took of my sun glasses off and put them in my pocket.

"Go with it? Go with what" mum asked "Mr Stark?" Natalie said "Hey" dad greeted "Hello. How was your flight?" Natalie asked "It was excellent. Boy, it's nice to see you." Dad said "We have one photographer from the ACM, if you don't mind" Natalie informed.

"When did this happen?" mum asked "What? You made me do it" dad said "I made you do it what" mum asked "you quit, smile look right there" dad told mum pointing at the camera and I faked a smile.

"Stop acting constipated, don't flare your nostrils" dad told mum as the photographer continued taking photos "you are so predictable, that the amazing thing" mum told dad "right this way" Natalie informed us "you look fantastic" dad complimented Natalie "why, thank you very much" Natalie said "But that's unprofessional. What's on the docket?" dad asked.

"You have a 9:30 dinner" Natalie informed "perfect I'll be there at 11 "absolutely" Natalia said "Is this us?" dad asked "it can be" Natalia said "Great make it us" dad said "okay" Natalie said walking off as mum and dad were bickering we followed Natalie to a group of people that mum and dad said hi to as we walked to the counter "Anthony! Sally is that you?" Hammer called.

I mentally groaned as Hammer walked over to us "My least favourite person on Earth Justin Hammer" dad said "You're not the only rich guy here with a fancy car. You know Christine Everhart from Vanity Fain You guys know each other?" Hammer said "yes roughly" dad said "BTW big story the new CEO of Stark Industries" Hammer told the reporter "I know, I know" she said.

"Congratulations My editor will kill me if I don't grab a quote for our Powerful Women issue can I?" the reporter asked mum "Sure" mum said "She's actually doing a big spread on me for Vanity Fair I thought I'd throw her a bone, you know" Hammer said.

"Well, she did quite a spread on Tony last year" mum said "And she wrote a story as well" dad said "It was very impressive" mum said "Thank you" the reporter said "I'm gonna go wash" mum said "Don't leave me" dad said as mum walked off.

Hammer put an arm around dad and I saw the cameras I tried to walk away but Hammer grabbed my arm preventing me from leaving I internally groaned as I put my sun glasses on and forced a smile.

The reporter began interviewing us and I walked off not wanting to spend any more time with Hammer then I had to. I walked over to our table and sat down Eliza joined me "hey" I said "hey what you doing over here" she asked me "escaping Hammer" I said truthfully as mum came over and sat at the table and watched the car race.

"Well, what's the use of having and owning a race car if you don't drive it?" I looked up at the TV hearing dad voice and sure enough there he was in the stark racing suit.

I continued to watch the race and dad was coming third then a man walked on the track unzipped his jacket revealing an arc reactor and whips came out from his sleeves as his shirt burnt off.

"Where's the suits" I asked mum getting up "Happy has them" mum said "where the hell is Happy" I mumble to myself looking around. I saw him at the door holding up my backpack I ran over to him and he gave me my suit I put it on my back and press the button.

Everyone in the restaurant watched as my backpack formed into my suit "First vacation in two year" I complained once my mask came over my face. I got dads suit of Happy and flew out the door to the race track.

A race car exploded as I landed on track and I saw dad patting down the fire that had started on him arm. I quickly threw dad his suit as electric whips were thrown around me and I was thrown against the fence I blasted him with my repulsor rays knocking him back a bit causing the whips to let go of me.

I fell to the ground and within seconds the whips were wrapped around me and I was smashed into the fence once again then onto the ground. The whips were wrapped around dad and he continued wrapping himself in them getting closer to him and threw a couple good punches before using the whips to throw him to the ground.

Dad made his way over to him and pulled out his arc reactor and I could hear people cheering from the stands as CRS members began to drag him away "you lose" he said spitting out blood and kept repeating himself laughing as he was dragged away.

"JARVIS, map to the hotel" I asked "right away Miss" JARVIS said bringing up the map on my screen and I took off dad following behind me.

"Beat you" I yelled as I touched down on our hotel porch "I went easy on you" dad lied "yeah..." I stop mid-sentence and collapsed "Sal" dad yelled running over to me. Dad picked me up, kicked down the door and carried me inside placing me on the couch "JARVIS?" dad yelled "her core has been depleted" JARVIS informed.

Dad ran over to his suitcase and took a box and quickly made his way back over to me "arc reactor" dad asked with his hand out. I popped out my arc and gave it to him, dad swapped over the core then gave it back to me and I put it back in my chest.

"What's this for" I asked pocking my finger on the spike dad had given me "blood toxicity 31%" JARVIS read "dad what aren't you telling me" I asked fear clear in my voice "the element in the arc reactor is slowly poisoning us" dad said "and you didn't bother to tell me" I yelled.

"I didn't want you to worry" dad said I sighed I wasn't going to argue "so the thing that's keeping us alive is also killing us" I said "yep" he said "Sir your core has been depleted" JARVIS informed. Dad sighed and took out his arc and replaced the core.

"I'm guessing mum doesn't know about this" I asked "no and I would like it to stay that way" dad said I simply nodded my head "we'll have to make you a new arc reactor so it'll be easily to replace the core" Dad explained.

I had changed and showered and had gotten in bed with dad and we were watched The Flash it wasn't long till I slowly began to fall asleep.

I heard a door slam open waking me from my sleep "are you okay" mum yelled at us I sat up rubbing my eyes "yeah I'm fine mum" I said as mum came over and pulled me into a massive hug then pulled away to examine my face "I'm fine really" I reassured her pulling away "sorry I didn't mean to wake you" mum said I nodded and laid back down and feel asleep in seconds.
