but there's something about him

he took a sensitive uptight
clean-cut girl
and made her something else

transformed her into a troublemaker,
taught her to speak her mind
no matter the consequences.
he taught her to rebel sometimes
and that helped her to be happy.

and then he broke her,
and because of what he showed her
she tried to resolve it by speaking up.
and when that didn't work,
she picked herself up
and filed her broken pieces into
well-rounded ones and put herself
back together.

and realizing how much he meant to her,
she still loves him.
