He's changed

chapter 14

It was now 7:30 so I decided to get ready. I just kept the makeup i had on from earlier and changed into some skinny jeans and a hoodie Colby had gave me ages ago because I don't have any others. After i was done I put the buttercup colby left in my hair and grabbed my phone and sat on my door step and waited for colby.

5 minutes later colby pulls up in his car and walks up to me. "What's up buttercup?" He says sitting next to me. "Nothing" I laugh "so what did you wanna talk about?" I ask. "Lets not talk here, come on" he says pulling me up to my feet. He grabs my hand and takes me to his car. He gives me a hug. "Nice sweater by the way" he says. I pull out of his embrace and punch his arm. "I don't have any others" He pretends to be hurt. I walk to the other side of the car and get in. I honestly don't know where were going.

We pull up to 'the view' and to be honest I don't know why he chose to come here.. "Uh Colby what are we doing here?" I ask. "I told you, I need to talk about things." He replies. I didn't question it anymore I just let it go.

"Why were you here with jade?" I ask innocently. We're now sitting on the hood of his car looking out to the town. "I was supposed to come up here alone, but she wouldn't leave. I was hoping you were up there so we'd have a chance to talk but things change. And when I saw you here there was nothing I wanted more than you to be with me.." He trails off. I just sit there in silence. "Colby?" I ask. "Yeah?" "Why did you kiss her?" I ask. "Well I didn't want to.. I was getting up because she started to get a little touchy and then she pushed me back down and kissed me.." I should of let him explain what had happened before. "Summer, I am so sorry this all happened. Jade she changed me and I hated it. I just wish you knew how bad I felt, how stupid I was to let you go that easy buttercup, all I'm trying to say is I'm sorry! And I really really mean it" as soon as he stopped talking I engulfed him in a big hug. Without thinking I kissed him. All the memories from before came back. The good ones. We pull away and I instantly knew that it was a bad idea. "I.. Uh .. Sorry" Colby says. Why was he apologising I was the one who kissed him. "We should get home, it's late" I say as I get off the hood of the car. "Wait..!" Colby says reaching for me as he got off too. "Will you please come on tour? Please? I know you and Sam aren't on best terms right now but will you?" I stand there staring at him. He takes the buttercup out of my hair and tickled my nose with it. "I mean I guess I can I'm still packed for it" I say. "Well good! Let's go get your stuff and head to today's show but were on the same bus as Sam but it's cool right?" He says "right" I reply. I'm kinda glad Colby asked me to go with him. Maybe this will give Sam a chance to talk to me?

Kansas show was over and me and Colby were on our way to Texas. I was sat next to Colby, then a spare seat and then there was Sam. He looked rough. I mean I love him so much and he knew that so why did he let me go? Colby put his arm around my waist and I instantly took it off.

We were now stopping at this little mall type place to get lunch and stuff. It was cute. But I refused to eat because I'm not waisting someone else's money for myself to eat I'm not that hungry anyway. I take a seat at a little table and waited for Colby. I was on my phone scrolling through my social media when Colby sat in front of me. Well so I thought. "Why am I always pushed down Colby... I feel like everyone I try to love takes it and throws it away." I say still looking down at my phone. "I mean, what did I do? I loved him and I still do but he obviously doesn't want me if he pushed me away?" I look up to see Sam giving me a sympathetic look. He pushes a drink towards me and gives me a subtle smile. It was my favourite drink, he remembered. I just stare at him what seemed like forever until one of his fans came running up to him asking for a picture. I get up and take the drink. I leave him a text saying:

Summer: we'll just talk another time?

I stuff my phone into my back pocket and walk over to reed and Devin. "Hey I'm glad you're back on tour! We've missed ya!" Devin says. "Yeah, well something.. Came up.." I say making it up. "Summer we all know what happened" reed says whilst putting his hand on my shoulder. My pocket vibrates from my phone going off so I walk away from the others and look at it.

Sam: I'm sorry...
Summer: for what?
Sam: pushing you away, I love you!
Summer: it's okay, I promise!

"I really am sorry!" I hear from behind me. I turn around to see Sam standing with Colby. I look down to my feet and blush. "It's okay" I say barely above a whisper. "What would you two do without me hey?" Colby says interrupting our moment. "You set this up?" Sam asked. "Well yeah! Nobody likes to see there best friends being down all the time?" He says. "Did you guys talk about things then?" Sam asked. I nod in reply. "Come buttercup let's get you some food yeah?" Colby says. "Uh yeah one sec" I say to him. I turn to Sam and hug him tightly. He whispers in my ear something that made me giggle. I look up at him and stare into his eyes. "I love you sammy!" I whisper. "I love you too baby girl" he says back. I kiss him. Those were the kisses I had missed. I mean me and Colby kissed but that was a friendly thing. I'm just glad to have them both back in my life!
