Chapter 16

I wake up having a panic attack and crying. I turn over to see my phone and I go to call Sam.

Sam: hello?
Summer: ...
Sam: Summer?
Summer: I.. Can't
Sam: what do you mean? Why are you crying?
Summer: never mind I'll be okay.. Sorry for waking you..
Sam: Summer? Don't do anything stupid..
Summer: I'm sorry, bye Sam I'll talk later maybe..
Sam: What? No summe-

I hang up cutting Sam off. Why why! Stupid girl now he's gonna know. I think to myself. I walk to my bathroom and put my phone on the side. I stare at myself in the mirror. "No wonder they left look at me... I'm getting fat, my hair looks like I've been struck by lightning" I say to myself.

I fix my hair and get dressed and made my way to my car. As I get in my sister runs out with my wallet. "You forgot this" she smiles through the window. "Thanks" I smile back and go to reverse. "Wait! Look I know this is really shitty but it's gonna be okay.. They're only in Cali you can always go visit when you graduate" she says with a sympathetic look. I look down at the steering wheel and back to her. "Thank you! And you're right I probably am overthinking this" I say. She nods and walks back to the house.

I'm on my way to work cause I'm planning on moving out. I don't know where yet but probably far. I got a job at this local restaurant so it's not that bad.

I park up and get out. As I'm walking in I see someone. "Colby?" I say behind him. He turns around and looks at me. "Oh sorry you just look like a friend of mine." I say embarrassed. "It's cool I'm Oscar" he says shaking my hand. "Summer" I reply. "Uh can I take your order?" I ask walking behind the counter. "Yeah thanks" he says.
