We were 14 and in love, so young, and so carefree about the world but isn't that all 14 year olds. I was lucky to have him and he always said I made him the best. We were so young and stupid to think about how grown up we were but nobody stopped us.

I remember the last time I saw him, sitting on his outside hammock watching a movie. His armed draped around me and his foot kicking the ground sending us swaying back and forth. He kicked too hard, sending us flying off. I laughed and hit him ever so slightly while he looked at me and smiled.
"El never leave me," he said.
"Never," I lied.
The next day I left on a plane for Settle Washington and never came back.
