Mizeal's P.O.V.

When I woke again, it was dark. Very dark. I sat up, and heard something clink across the floor. I checked my pockets quickly, looking for my gemstone. Feeling it, I sighed, and pulled it out. It gave off light, and I held it above my head, so I could see better. I was in a small cell, and my wrists were handcuffed to chains. My head still hurt from when I had been knocked to the ground, and I realised that I was hungry. Not a feeling I feel often. I heard footsteps coming, and I quickly put my gemstone away. A dark figure walked up to the cell bars, and I heard a lock turn in the door.

"Hey, your up!" The figure said. It was a male, judging by the voice. They struck a match, and light filled the little room. "How are you feeling?"

"A little hungry, and sore. Who are you?"

"I'm Cadmus. I've come to check on you, see if you were all right. Luckily for you, I brought some food." He pulled out a couple of bars, and handed one to me.

"Thank you." We both pulled off the wrapper, and took a bite. I hadn't eaten in a very long time. I usually don't have any reason to. I'm a Barian. But, I did journey here in Human form. Maybe that was why.

"What's your name?" Cadmus asked me, after a few bites of our bars.

"Mizeal. Where are we?"

"No way. You're name's not seriously Mizeal, is it?" I looked at him funny.

"Yes, it is. What's so weird about that?"

"It's just, there's stories about this legendary figure, and his name is Mizeal. Our leader, who has disappeared, told us all about him. She said she was his protector, and friend." My eyes widened.

"You don't mean.... Are you talking about Nemo?"

"Have you seen her?!" I nodded.

"She wasn't in a good way when I left though. My friends, Jinlong and Faith, are looking after her." His head perked up again when I mentioned Jinlong.

"I've heard about him too! He is Mizeal's mentor."

"He is my mentor. How much did Nemo tell you about me?" I got a weird feeling in my chest.

"Everything she could, up until how both of you died. She said you had become an alien of sorts, a different race. She hadn't seen you since then."

"Until a few months ago." I muttered.

"Are you seriously Mizeal, the legendary Dragon Master?"

"What, don't you believe me?" His head tilted sideways for a moment, before righting itself. He was also breathing a bit quicker now.

"It's just that- well, most of us just thought it was a story to inspire us against the dark. It definitely was inspiring, but to actually meet you-" He looked like he was about to hyperventilate.

"Hey, calm down. Breathe. Then talk." He did as I said, and then stood up.

"Hands please. I think you need to see Kallai. He is who took charge after Nemo disappeared." I held out my hands to him, and he undid the locks on them. They sprang open, and I stood up, off the small bed that was provided.

"Now, I think I'd better meet this Kallai person you're talking about. I actually came here to ask for help."

"Sure! Right this way." I followed him out of the cell and up the stairs.
