A tall, slightly built man with medium length white hair and dull red eyes stood at a wedding alter with a small smile on his lips.
The small hall was filled with about fifteen people, only four of them were invited by the groom though. His mother, best friend, and his grandparents.
The remaining eleven people were all invited by the bride, though she wasn't allowed to invite everyone she wanted to.
Then, the tall tale song began to play and a short woman with curly brown hair, a slight limp, and dull blue eyes that were once filled with life walked down the isle. The man's eyes immediately brightened when he saw her, an excited smile plastered to his face.
The woman seemed to walk slower as she began to get closer to the alter...had she changed her mind?
With a slight shiver she walked the last few feet to the alter and stood facing the man. The man gave her a small smile, though, it wasn't a smile of encouragement. It was a smile filled with a threat unknown to anyone that hasn't gone through what the woman had gone through.
In all reality, the woman didn't love the man. She was just scared of him, at first she had thought he was just a small shy boy that was in need of a friend...but she was wrong. Her act of kindness towards him had been her downfall. She had even tried scaring him...but that only seemed to make him even more excited.
Then the music stopped and the priest began the ceremony.
Then he got to those final words. Those words that would bind the two people forever. Those two simple words that seemed like so little, but were so much.
"Do you, Zalla Walker, take Anna Huntington to be your wife?"
"I do." Zalla smiled, he had been waiting for this day for so long.
"And, do you, Anna Huntington, take Zalla Walker to be your husband?"
Anna paused a second before answering, this was the day she had been dreading would come. The day she thought would only happen in her nightmares.
"...I d-do..." She whispered just loud enough for everyone in the room to hear.
"Then, without further a do, I pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride."
Zalla smiled and immediately pulled Anna into a rough kiss.
She was finally officially his, and he would never let her go.
Anna shivered from the contact, she was scared of what laid ahead. And she knew if she ever did something...wrong...she would be punished. So, she was determined to be a 'good girl' until she had a chance to get away, afterall...she didn't really love him.
