a neighborhood
identical houses
side by side going on and on
but if you look on the inside
truly look i mean
you'll find more than cliches
some might be perfect
on the outside
but broken beyond repair
on the inside
there is always going to be
that one house
that has been abandoned
abused
torn apart
and people will walk by and say
"what a shame"
but forget about it the next day
and you'll be just another evicted house
in another neighborhood
in a town in which
you wish and hope to escape
and never return
