More than Friends? // e.d & g.d

flashback

Ethan's POV:
Tonight was the night that I was gonna know that Sam likes me and that she could possibly be my girl! I'm pretty excited about it too. And the party isn't like a costume party or a pool party, it was just a hangout party. Like everyone just did what they wanted to do: dance, talk, eat or drink. Those were my favourite ones. The kid who is hosting it is Harry Wilson, and he meant trouble. We were friends and all but only because he would always come over with Grayson. Our friendship is basically forced. And I also knew that he liked Sam coz she would always send me screenshots of their conversations that they had. So anyway change of topic, I'm really excited for tonight. I'll text Sam to see when she's getting there:

Samantha😋
E: Hey so when are you getting to the party tonight?
S: Ahaha when the party starts? 8:30? Pretty stupid question.
That is true it actually sorta was
E: Sorry my bad, do you wanna go together? Like we live close and everything and my mum can just drop us off and pick us up.
S: Okay sweet, I'll see you at 8:30!
E: Alright see you then x
I know I know, again with the "x" but I need to drop some signs to this girl like cmon man!
*couple of hours have passed to 8:00
Ethan's POV:
I was just killing time in the loungeroom by looking through my photos, as one does. Grayson was playing Fortnite while he was waiting for the party. I was scrolling through until I found one of me and Sam together hanging out at the beach about 5 years back. There was actually a lot of these photos. I totally forgot about these! 

***Flashback to the beach***
"Ethan! Sam! Come over here so I can get a cute photo of you two!" Mum yelled out. "No Mum I wanna play in the water!" I replied back like the ignorant little kid I was. "Cmon E, first one back to your mum wins!" Sam said while getting a head start. "Hey not fair!" I sprinted over and I jumped on Sam and we were play fighting. Mum kept taking photos of us. "Okay kiddies, now I want a nice one." Mum said. We stopped play fighting and then we put our arms around each other really tight and hugged. "Ethan come over here really quick! Stay there Sam." I ran over and mum whispered in my ear: "Ethan why don't you give Sam a quick peck. Just for the photo!" I thought about it and just ran back over. "What did your mum want?" Sam asked. I didn't say anything and I just kissed her on the lips while mum took the photo. We both laughed while yelling in sync "ewwwwww" and then ran back into the water.
*Return from flashback

So I decided to change my background from a default one to the one of me and Sam play fighting as kids. I looked at the time and it was 8:45! "Oh shit! I was out for 45 minutes!" I yelled, Grayson was still playing the game and mum was just in the kitchen. "Grayson! The party started at 8:30 and we need to go pick up Sam let's go!" I ran upstairs and quickly fixed my hair and put on some cologne. Ran back downstairs and texted Sam saying:

E: Hey we are leaving right now! Just a little late
S: Yeah no worries, nothing bad about being fashionably late I always say

I laughed at that last text. It was true actually. So I jumped in the car with Gray in the front and Mum driving to Sam's house.
