Grayson's POV:
Ethan had just suddenly left our workout after I said I liked Sam as well. "Ethan where the hell are you going bro?" I yelled while he was getting in his car, I was so confused. "I just need to go do something quickly, I might be a while" he replied with urgency in his voice and he drove off down the street. I knew he was going to get Sam because he has never ran that fast in his life. And I mean ever.
15 minutes later - I had just finished my workout without Ethan, and knew he would be at Sam's right now because it usually doesn't take that long to get from our house to hers. I went inside to freshen up and had a shower. My homework was all done so I could just chill out on my bed and so as soon as I was dressed and by dressed, I mean tracksuit pants, I got onto my phone. I decided to text my brother, to see what he was doing. After the text, I waited a while for Ethan to reply and there was none.. I continued to wait and still, no reply. I couldn't let him have Sam yet, not now. Not ever. I know I got with Molly at Sophie's party yesterday but that wasn't anything, well I don't think it was anything. I do like Molly, I really do but she's more of a "mate" of mine, that I may have hooked up with. I know she's got a thing for me, it's pretty obvious. For example, when I see her in the hallway at school, she always goes all shy but knowing her well, she would've already told her friends that she's got with me, which will make her as confident as ever when she's around me now. Then, next thing I know I get a Snapchat from her that says "hey ;)" with a selfie of half of her face in it. I just opened it and didn't reply, I couldn't be bothered replying because my mind was on Sam right now, like it always is. I needed to think of a way to get Ethan home and not ask out Sam. I called Sam and she didn't answer, damn must've left her phone at her house. So I laid in my bed to think how I could get with Sam and make her my girlfriend. Did I have the guts to go up to her and ask her out? Possibly. Could I potentially ruin Ethan and her relationship so she would be closer to me? Nah that's just called being a douchebag. Then I thought of the perfect idea...
Sam's POV:
I couldn't stop thinking about Grayson's text. Did he actually like me? I've never noticed it before like I know we're playful with each other but is that flirting? I look over at Ethan and there he is, looking at the road ahead, still looking perfect as ever. RING! RING! I look down at Ethan's phone and it was Grayson. Oh no.
Ethan's POV:
I felt bad that I left Grayson all of a sudden but I want to ask Sam out first, because I'm falling hard. RING! RING! My phone interrupted my train of thought and it was Grayson. I picked up the phone and answered it: "Hey bro, Sam's in the car with me right now, what's up?"
"Bro. Did you get my text?" He asked straight away, he seemed sort of concerned which made me worried. "Nah I haven't seen my texts yet, why is everything okay?" I replied.
"Can you please come home? We need to talk about something," he asked "It's about Sam." After that sentence, I instantly stopped my idea from happening. I pulled the car over and continued to talk to Gray while Sam was eating her food happily. "Yeah what about her?" I said to him. "Well if you come home right now, we can talk about it" Gray said.
"Ugh Fine, I'm coming home now" I said angrily and hung up the phone. "E, is everything okay?" Sam asked, touching my shoulder with her light fingertips, I loved when she did that. It felt weird but cool at the same time. "Mmmm yeah I think I need to go home, Gray needs to talk about something and apparently it's urgent or whatever. I'm so sorry Sam, I was supposed to take you somewhere fun." I explained, I felt so bad for dragging her out here. "Hey, don't say sorry! You got me food and you're gonna do my math homework so I'm chill!" She said with laughter. I completely forgot about the homework... "shit the homework, what time is it?"
"It is currently 12:28am!"
"12:28?! We have to get you home and I have to get home to do your frickin homework!" I squealed which made Sam laugh with her gorgeous laugh. I turned the car around and drove back home with happy, good giving music to wake us up (Top 100 on the Charts). We had eventually arrived at Sam's house and I walked her inside until we were in her room. "Sam, again, I'm so sorry for ton-" I apologised before being interrupted by her. She pushed her finger against my lips with our faces inches apart. I got chills. Was she going to kiss me? Should I kiss her? My mind was racing. "E, seriously stop I had an awesome time tonight. And don't even stress, it's only 12:46am! This is what time I'm usually in bed anyway on a Sunday night. But thank you for the food and for doing the homework, I appreciate it." She replied, she was so nice. Sam could always find a silver lining in anything, she was always positive about any situation and that's a main reason why I liked her so much. She was independent enough that she had learned how to be happy at all times. Sam gave me a hug after that. It wasn't a kiss but it was something. I pulled away but she pulled me back into her. My arms were around her shoulders and hers were around my waist. It felt like it was meant to be. We stood like that for a solid 10 seconds, swaying side to side in time with each other. Sam pulled away and said, "Okay well I better head off to bed, I'll walk you downstairs?" I nodded and we walked out of her room and she actually walked me to the car. I jumped into the car and turned it on, "Hey guess what I'll be doing when I get home?" I asked.
"What?" She replied.
"Not your math homework" I said and winked after. "E no! You have to do my homework, please! I beg of you!" Sam pleaded.
"Dude chill we don't even have it tomorrow so I don't have to do it anyway!" I explained to her while she was basically praying. "Oh! Well okay then." Sam said, standing up straight away and brushing herself with her hands with a bit of an embarrassed look on her face which made me laugh. "Okay, get into bed, it's late and it's starting to get cold. Goodnight Sam" I said to her while she was waiting by my car. "Night E, thanks again" she replied while walking back to her house. I waited until she got inside safely and then she locked the door.
Damn. That girl has got me hooked.
