Makarov stood in the stage proudly with a huge grin in his face, "Tomorrow night we will celebrate new years!" He announced and everyone cheers happily, all excited for the booze,food and dancing. "I want you all wearing something formal with a partner as well. That is all," he clears his throat and goes down the stage and back to his office.

"W-What!? Partner!?" A certain blonde mage exclaims, making her friends giggle at her.

"That's so romantic! Just imagine, Natsu and Lucy dancing for the whole night!" Mirajane squeals while pretending to dance with a partner.

The rest laughs while Lucy was blushing deep red, "W-Whatever! I'm off to get a few stuff ready for tomorrow...!" Lucy stomps her way out of the guild and back to her small, cozy and nice apartment.

And when she arrived at her apartment, she face planted on her bed and screamed her lungs out at her pillow.

"A partner, huh? I wonder if someone would like to be my partner..." She wandered out loud.

Natsu's Point of View

"Alright, Natsu. All you have to do is ask her out like the idiot you are! There's no harm to it!!" The scary she-demon said and I shook my head.

"What if Luce rejects me anyway? I can't risk it!" I protested.

Mira wriggled her finger in front of my face, "Think positive,Natsu! I'll help you out!"

"What makes you think Luce would accept, anyway?" I questioned her curiously.

She grins, "Like I said, it's because you're you.."

Why did I ask her anyway....

Flashback

I burst through the guild doors and looked for a certain barmaid.

"Miraa!!" I called to her.

She quirks her brow at me, "Yes Natsu? Is there anything you need?"

"I need your help with asking Lucy out for the dance..." I panted and she squeals in delight.

"I have the perfect idea! Just go in casually like always and ask her. And if anything, she won't reject you because you're Natsu.."

"Just like that!?"

"Yes! Trust me!"
