I love her || Shy!Natsu Dragneel X Lucy Heartfilia

<it's her hair and her eyes today

that just simply take me away

and the feeling that i'm falling further in love

makes me shiver but in a good way>

Natsu secretly stared at his long term crush longingly, she was sitting in her usual place while laughing with her friends as they talked and talked. Oh how melodic her laugh was, it made Natsu's cheeks grow a pink hue color in it which he tried to desperately hide.

And when she stopped laughing, her eyelids flew open and her chocolate brown eyes were revealed. It was a perfect match for her golden blonde locks, making her look like an angel.

And at the same time, Lucy looked around her and stared back at the onyx colored eyes that belonged to her secret admirer. She does a small wave and went back to talking to her friends once more. But though it was barely five seconds, it felt like Lucy stared at Natsu's soul and saw the feelings he held for her.

<all the times i have sat and stared

as she thoughtfully thumbs through her hair

and she purses her lips, bats her eyes as she plays, with me

sitting there slack-jawed and nothing to say>

And as Natsu continued to stare, he made sure it wasn't so obvious to his fellow classmates and other onlookers, and that thought alone frightened the boy. He couldn't risk it.

When Natsu opened his eyes from blinking, he was quickly mezmerized when he saw that Lucy tucked a few strands of her hair away from her face, then Natsu looked away while blushing a deeper hue than before.

When Lucy glanced at the boy from her seat, she fought the urge to call his attention to not make a fool of herself. Then she returned her attention back to her group of friends and they started making faces.

Natsu sighed and balled his hands into fists before releasing them and went back to staring at Lucy who was making a face. His face exploded in red and he felt so blessed to actually be able to see such a sight. Lucy was just too cute and adorable for her own good.

But to Lucy, it was a bit embarrassing for her to do that, yet she did it. She won't chicken out to that when she's having fun with her friends.

< coz i love her with all that i am

and my voice shakes along with my hands

coz she's all that I see and she's all that I need

and i'm out of my league once again>

"Just go for it, man," one of his friends says in a teasing tone, nudging him while he was at it.

"I.. I can't! Every time I'm around her, I get so nervous! And I.... I can't speak and everything is just a mess!" Natsu frantically explained, doing a few weird gestures here and there as he does so.

"Then try to confess without saying it."

"Wh-What? No! I'd get utterly rejected! She's just.."

"She's just what?" Gray pestered, getting on Natsu's nerves rather quickly.

"... Out of my league.." Natsu mutters lowly and teared his gaze off of Lucy and Gray walked away with a sigh.

"I love her too much that I'm afraid I'd get rejected. I'd rather keep it to myself then if that was the outcome.."
