People would sometimes, or always, pretend to be someone who they are not. They do it to escape reality, or just for the fun of it.

For Mirajane, she does it to escape reality.

"Arghh!! Why does this level have to be so hard!!" You frustratingly yell, stomping your feet and adding another coin to the slot and restart the game all over again.

Game after game, you lost, and you had no more coins to waste. "I guess I'll be back some other time..." You uttered and got out of the seat.

Once you stood up, almost immediately another person took over the game. Turning around, you saw a interesting looking person dressed in dark colors.

"Just like me when I had that phase one time when I was ten..." You thought and mentally giggled.

While watching the person, he had won after one try which shocked you. "N-No way..."

He stood up and got his prized tickets. For a few seconds, he looked into your eyes but averted his gaze, "Tch.."

Giggling, you tapped his shoulder and looked into his ocean blue eyes. "Hello! What's your name?" You asked the stranger, he doesn't reply and you frown. "Oh. Sorry for dist--"

"I... I'm Ja-Jaden. You can call me Jade if you like.." He looks into the floor and you giggle.

"Nice! I'm [Full name]! But you could call me [Nickname] if you'd like!" You happily replied, tilting your head a teensy weensy bit.

"N.. Nice to meet you, [name].."

After that, you and Jaden had gotten along quiet well. And you'd promised to meet him the next day.

It has been several months since you've meet Jaden and you were very much delighted when he said that he would be attending the same junior high as you.

And today was your first day.

"Jaden! Jaden!" You excitedly hollered to your best friend, tackling him into the ground.

"[Name]! Y-Your squishing me!"

"Heheh. Gomene, Jay!" You got off him and helped him get up, bowing after for apologizing.

"You're as reckless as always," he comments and patted your head.

The bell suddenly rings and Jaden takes a sharp breath, "See you around, [name].."

When lunch break came, you were super excited to talk to Jaden again, but he was talking to another girl which broke your heart to pieces so you decided to leave them alone for the pain in your heart just won't stop.

"Jaden-kun must've been telling the girl something and walked away," your friend comforted you, patting your head where Jaden placed his hand earlier that day.

"Not my head, please.." You whispered and buried your head in your arms.

"Wow, [name]. You must really love this Jaden guy if you can't bare the pain when he talks to some girl," one of your classmates says.

"I don't even know, man. I saw this Jaden guy and he seems a bit... Odd," another says, and you automatically raise your head to defend him but your classmate beats you to it.

"Oi! We're trying to comfort her, you dumbass! You don't have anything to say about [name]'s crush!"

"Bu-But it's true! The way he's so cautious about everything is weird!"

You intake a few deep breaths, "Thanks guys for the support. I'll talk to him later," you said and frown sadly.

When school ended, you searched for the white haired boy and found him in the front of the fountain.

"Jaden!" You called to him and his eyes widened.

"[N-Name].."

"Gomen, I didn't see you at lunch so I ate with my friends!" You apologized to him and he shook his head.

"J-Jaden.."

"[Name].."

Your Point of View

"I.. Jaden, I have to tell you something important!" I gushed out and he gulps thickly. "Um.. I.. I really like you, Jaden..! And, um.."

"No... No.. The moment I dreaded the most...." Jaden paces back and forth, leaving me confused.

"Jaden? What are you talking about?" I frowned deeply at his actions and he stops moving and looks deeply into my eyes.

"[Name]. It seems like.. I can't return your feelings.."

"I knew it... I shouldn't have confessed..." I muttered and hiccuped, tears welling in my eyes. But my heart didn't slow down, it was still beating in a fast pace, every time I was close to Jaden it was like this.

"It-It's not because I don't love you. I actually do.. But.."

...

"But I'm a girl, [Name]. And I know for a fact that lesbians aren't your type," Jaden chuckles bitterly and wipes her eyes with her sleeves.

"Okay, Lesbian honest here. I didn't expect that to happen.."

"My heart hurts, you know? That feeling when the only thing you hear is your heart shattering.."

"Jaden. Wait, no, that isn't even your name.." I choked out, hiccuping some more. Because she was right. Lesbians aren't my thing..

"That's... You're correct. My name isn't Jaden. I'm Mirajane Strauss. And a female lesbian.."

When Mirajane didn't hear a response from me, she stares at my eyes again and stepped back. "I'm so sorry.. I-I have to go.."

...

And out she was in my life.

But why...

But why is my heart still beating for her? Why do I still yearn for her?

Ah. Another crappy angst chapter. Sorry for the angst chapters lately, hehe. I just suddenly got inspired.
