The minutes seem to be ticking by slower than usual today. I look back up at the clock on the wall again hoping for time to have magically passed by sooner but to my disappointment the clock read 12:38. "Time is just a concept. It's not real, if you keep looking at the clock time will seem to slow down." I turn around to see a beautiful stranger; his eyes seem to sparkle in a way I've never seen before. He is chewing his gum in a way that would usually drive me insane but right now I can only see it as sexy. I look down at the desk in front of him and see that the only thing he brought to class was a single pen. "So I've heard, I wish there was a way for me to snap my fingers and class is over." I glance back up to the front of the class to make sure the professor isn't watching. I'm thankful that today I decided to sit towards the back instead of the front like usual. Students talking during class makes me mad so I try to never do it, but I make an exception for attractive people. "Lucky for you, there is. It's called taking a nap!" I make a barely audible chuckle and glance back at the clock. 12:43. Before I can think of what to say he continues, "don't worry Scarlett you won't get in trouble." How does he know my name? I wish I knew his. Him knowing my name and me not knowing his gives him an unfair advantage that I didn't know I wanted. I'm not going to ask him for his name, I'll just think of one for this mystery man. I'll call him Eric. I look back to the clock. 12:49.
