This story takes place in the country of Panem, established on what used to be North America, sometime in the future, with a slight change.
Have you noticed, the real books published by Suzanne Collins, tell the story of Katniss Everdeen? Well, this is what would've happened if she hadn't survived. It only took a couple of hits from an enemy, to get her on 2nd place.
That way, there was no Female Tribute for the 75th Hunger Games, and it didn't take place, stopping the rebellion. Stopping everything from happening, and that way, the 76th Hunger Games took place. So did the 77th, 78th, 79th, etc. It never stopped, reaching up to the 100th Hunger Games,
Violet Cosby is from a rather wealthy family in District 2. She is 18 at this time. This is her last year she can be a tribute for The Hunger Games, as she wil turn 19 next year. She is our main character, and she also later becomes the Female Tribute, District 2, in the 100th Hunger Games.
