Chapter 10

Mom handed us towels and immediately headed to the kitchen.

"It looks like the rain isn't going to stop."

I stared at Hibari. He was scowling, sitting on the sofa.

Meow!

That's when his gaze softened, seeing our cat. He picked it up and began petting it. My heart fluttered, just by looking at the view.

He's so cute!!!

"Hn?"

And that's when he noticed me staring. I flinched, lookin in the opposite direction. he approached me, the cat still clinging to him. I whistled like I didn't know what happened.

"Why were you staring at me? Herbivore." He asked, eyes narrowed.

"I-I wasn't staring at you...I was...s-staring at the cat!" I lied.

Meow!

"Oh, really."

He suddenly smiled in amusement and finds you rather amusing.

"Hey, but how did you become real?"

"Herbivore."

"I have a name and it's (Y/n)."

He gritted his teeth, he was ready to punch this girl anytime, if it only weren't for your parent standing by close.

"I'll bite you to death, next time-."

GROWL...

"..."

"Who's stomach was that?"
that was definitely not mine. I glanced at Hibari. "Was that you?"

"You didn't hear anything, herbivore."

I just nodded, trying to hold back a laugh.

"Dinner's ready!"

It was awkward, to say the least.

Hibari sat across my mother, and I sat beside him. It was extremely nerve-wracking.

Hope he doesn't whip his tonfas out...

That will not sit well with my mother.
"So..." Mom began awkwardly, "Hibari...was it?"

No answer.

Mom tried again. "So..."

I sighed inwardly. "He's a shy one."

"I'm not." He glared at me.

"Oh. He talks." Mom exclaimed cheerfully. "Anyways, feel free to dig in."

I smiled at hibari. "It's delicious, trust me."

"..."

Mom and I began eating while Hibari just sat there, looking at the fork and spoon.

"What's wrong?"

"...do you not like the food?"

"No...I-" his eyes still glued to the fork and spoon. "-Do you have any chopsticks..." (a/n: let's just pretend that he not used on using fork and spoon xD)
