i kick up the stand on my bike and straddle the bike my fingers gripping the handlebars. i begin pedaling toward drew's dorm deciding not to drive. it was too nice of a day to be stuck in a car. i glance down at my bike, smiling slightly looking at the cliché picnic blanket sitting in the wire basket on the front of my bike. drew's gonna love it he is such a sucker for clichés I mean his favorite movie is The Fault in our Stars for crying out loud! the wind whips my face and pushes my hair back and sends a rush of happiness through me.

slowing down i stop in front of drew's dorm building. i lock my bike to the bike rack and take out the basket and red and white checked blanket. i slid my phone out of my back pocket and click on drew's number.

"hey hon'." he says breathlessly yet I can hear the smile in his voice.

"hi babe." i greet an infectious smile spreading over my face.

"what'cha up to?"

"look out your kitchen window."

i see his head pop out of the kitchen window. "how many times have i told you that i want to be the one who makes surprise romantic gestures. shit you ruined my plans for tuesday!"

i feel my smile morph into a devious smirk, "shut up you love the attention." i tell him cockily "i'm coming upstairs now, clear out a space in your living room."

"aren't picnics supposed to be outside?"

"maybe i have an ulterior motive to having it inside." i tell him wiggling my eyebrows. opening the building's front door i quickly make my way upstairs before stick-up-his-ass Ryan tells me that it's not allowed to have girls in the all boys dormitory.

throwing open drew's door i step in the hallway. drew wraps his arms around me and i smile widely "now that i'm here you may shower me with attention or sex."

drew groaned "i can't even wine and dine you? sex is the first thing on your mind."

"i had a big breakfast i need to work up an appetite."

"psst drewbie." i whisper laying my head on his bare chest.

"yes daisy?" he mumbles sleepily

"your head game is a1 man."

drew blushed heavily tossing a pillow at me. "stop trying to embarrass me."

i giggle at his embarrassed tone, "no seriously all the girls at bridge are going to hear about this."

"you don't even play bridge."

"but i plan to start just so i can discuss our amazing sex life."

"you're so weird." drew says rolling his eyes

"but you love me anyways!" i coo. getting up from the bed i grab the picnic basket off the floor. "I made your favorite!"

"salami sandwiches?!" drew says springing up.

"of course."

leaning over he presses a sloppy kiss to my cheek. "you're the best."

"i try, i try."
