After a few days, John and Sherlock had been. They have not told anyone but Mycroft and Greg. They wanted to keep it a secret till after a month. Sherlock of course firgured it out before anyone and wanted to go find the killer. He had taken John with him because John had always protected him.
Little do they know that Sherlock had been lead into a trap. This trap was set up by the only consult criminal, Jim Moriarty. Moriarty had planned to kill Sherlock once and for all. Lucky his sniper's point was off and grazed his arm to nick the skin enough to make him bleed profusely. John had by now called help. Sherlock had blacked out from blood loss.
