Vechs laughed. He finally had the power he'd starved for. 100 souls, all his own. Sad he couldn't have done this earlier, convinced more to join him, but he always knew he would get there eventually. The timelock was marked with the magic of a god. The alpha timeline was now his to access. Nebris, a puny dimension shifter with one soul had nothing on him.
Vechs, for once in the longest of times, felt something that he hadn't felt since before he found that he was a god. He didn't know what it was, but it wouldn't keep him back. He stepped into the Alpha timeline, the place of timelock creation with ease.

7:00 PM
Vechs tied the Ribbon, a soulless creature, alive nor dead to Aurey's door. He placed his note. The Ribbon turned from white to a light lavender. The code to live. Vechs could see every timeline in existence at this moment. Most were the same, some were completely different, but in one he saw something wrong. Nebris H55. Though through Vechs's eyes he was obscured by millions of overlapping timelines, Nebris only saw what was in timeline J87, yet Vechs was in every one. Nebris was about to run right at him, yet then he stopped. He stopped to cry.
The emotion Vechs felt grew even more powerful. Before he closed the timelock, he added one of thing that hadn't been on the list. Nebris stood there with tears flowing, blurring his vision.
"No."
"What?"
"No! NO!" Nebris screamed. "I'm not just a dimension shifter Vechs. I'm the keeper of the Glitch Vechs. Vechs. VECHS."
For some reason, Vechs couldn't stand hearing Nebris yell his name.
"Vechs Davion." Nebris walked right past Vechs and pulled the Ribbon from the door. "You may be a time god, but if there's one thing I've learned, even in the past few hours, is that dimensions are what hold together everything, including time." Nebris let the Ribbon fuse with his skin. It wrapped around his right arm, tearing through to his brain. "Your timelock is nothing but a glitch Vechs."
Nebris's soul shattered.
Vechs was stunned. Nebris had pushed his way into the Alpha timeline with sheer force. He'd just pushed his way in. No magic, just walked right through. The Ribbon now had a body of her own. It was unrecognizable as Nebris's. He no longer existed. Ribbon stared at Vechs, eyes empty of any emotion.

Vechs ran.

Etho knew something was wrong when he saw time rewrite itself in front of his own eyes. Things shifted within every timeline, pushing and pulling at every turn. He found himself alone, something in his hands. Glass. Someone reached out and screamed his name. He didn't belong here. With his last second he used a power he didn't know he had. The true meaning of mindcrack wasn't what he had previously thought. He still had a lot to learn. Sadly, his soul was crushed under the effect of time being rewritten around him, and he lost his chance.

Aurey returned to her base. There was a mark on her door, like someone had ripped something out of it carelessly. She thought nothing of it. Besides, it's had been there for all of time, even without her knowing.
Another thing she didn't realize is that she'd done this before, in this very timeline.

ENTRY ONE
No one knows what happens when souls are destroyed. When a sentient creature dies, their souls go to the void, but when the soul is gone, there is no code to come back. Creatures can exist without souls of course, but they are essentially heartless as well. There needs to be balance. One heart and two souls creates chaos. So, where do the soulless go to die?
~
ENTRY TWO
What the fuck is with demons and grey sweaters? They always have them, no matter what the original person was wearing. Also why do demons end up looking like the one they turned into a demon when they die? They also just turn to dust and fade away when they're found out. I'm so confused.
~
ENTRY THREE
What's the deal with mindcrack? Everyone there has powers unimaginable, yet only a few of them know it themselves. Then there's that fucking thing they always say to each other; "There's a lot you don't know about Mindcrack, I'm surprised someone like you hadn't found the truth about this place already." Yet they don't even know the truth themselves! No one does!
~
ENTRY FOUR
Why me.
~
ENTRY FIVE
Hell. The code of broken death. Fear. Torture.
~
ENTRY SIX
That's why it's called the truth.
