A Rough Start

I wake up in a small room under our staircase. I feel dizzy and nauseous. All of a sudden I hear loud thumps from the top of the stairs. It was my sister. "GET UP JOHN", she screams, "MOM AND DAD NEED YOU TO COOK MY BREAKFAST!!!" I scream back at her, "GET THE MAID TO DO IT!" She comes down and opens my room door and says, "If you don't cook me what I want I'll tell mom and dad. They're gonna get you with the wood again." I say fine. "Just wait for the maid to come back with the food supplies" she says. In my mind I keep thinking about how much I want to stab her. I'm just worried about getting hurt by my parents. I'd stab them too if I could. I just needed more power. The maid arrives with the food. I ask my sister what she wants. "I want pancakes, eggs and bacon. Make it quick or we'll both be late for school." I start to make the food. The maid sees me working hard and exhausted and decided to take over. My sister saw the maid cooking and just grabbed the long strip of wood and started to beat me with it. She hit me exactly three times. The first time making me lean against a wall, second time making me fall to the ground and bleed a little. The third time the hardest ripped through my shirt and into my flesh. The wood was so sharp that it left some of my skin in the ground. I was bleeding so much I passed out. I woke up about thirty minutes after on the couch with a huge bandage on me. The maid had helped me. I still had to go to school though. It's a good thing I still had my crutches from last time my sister pushed me down the stairs. I used them to get to school. It's pretty convenient that our school is just a block away from our house. When I started to leave our driver wanted to drive me since I was pretty hurt. As we drove to the school my driver started talking about his life. He said "Don't worry kid. I was bullied and pretty hated too. But always remember, if something is really bad and can't get any worse, things will start to get better." As soon as he finished talking, we got to the school. I got a lot of attention since I came out of a limousine. My driver gave me $300 for my lunch. Everyone was looking at me but in a good way. "Nice limo" Some kid said. "You're cute" someone else said. I was feeling really good since it  was probably my first time getting a compliment. I went to class and I couldn't listen to the teacher. I asked the teacher if I could go to the nurse and get pain killers. She said "Well, you should've got some before you got here." I just left since it wouldn't even matter to my parents if my teacher called. It was only my freshman year (first year of high school) so I was just getting some new friends. I just went home after because I felt really bad. I walked about halfway there when my driver took me home. When I got home I went straight to my room and collapsed on my bed. I read a little from a book we had to read from school and just fell asleep halfway through. I finally felt good again.
