Saturday 13th December

"Zafirah being Pakistani doesn't mean you have to live up to the bloody stereotypes!" shrieked Sof over the phone.

"In my defence I don't do it on purpose, please stop shrieking you sound like a banshee" I muttered checking the time.

"I'm not even late Sof" I sighed, my music was waiting to be replayed and I was itching to start it.

"where are you?" she interrogated as I grinned to myself.

"Northwick park hospital" it was the truth more or less.

"look you're the one who said one thirty considering it's after midday I thought you'd be okay with getting here on time" she lectured as I rolled my eyes, I was never on time even if I did try.

"I'll be there soon love you bye! Mwah" I exaggerated hanging up the phone before starting my music.

So I'm Zafirah, your average twenty year old Londoner. Meaning I was basically forever broke being a university student why am I going shopping you ask? To get out of the house would be the easiest and simplest reason. The only problem was sof lived in Harrow and myself I lived in Ealing Broadway there was a bit if a distance.

Finally reaching my destination I got off the bus after my dangerous walk down the bus stairs, those things were a death trap! Strolling into the bus station I spotted my cousin sitting on one of the seats with hoodie and coat. she didn't looked too concerned about what was going on around her. She seemed to have a scowl on her face when she finally noticed me her scowl turned into a glare.

"hi!" I smiled innocently before beginning to walk with her to the shopping centre.

"get a car. I don't want to hear any excuses just get a bloody car save us all the trouble" she began as I sighed.

"so what are we shopping for today?" I asked smelling Krispy Kreme in the air. I could go for a doughnut I liked my lips and walked towards the counter before being dragged off.

"hey but the doughnut they're calling!" I struggled before making a face at her.

"shopping first then you can eat to your hearts content" negotiations and food don't go together they're polar opposites!

"but food" I whimpered as she walked away from me. Ah fine no food I'll starve.

"stop having a dramatic monologue in your head Zaf"

"But Sof! Food I'm hungry.." I murmured following her reluctantly.

"Hey you're late not me therefore you suffer the consequences we'll eat after we do shopping deal?"

"If we must, is there anything in specific or?"

"I only really want to go to the canvas store though buying a hoodie would seem like a bonus" she began as she gave me a look.

"fine fine I'll buy it I'll buy it, stop with the look I won't make you buy it relax" I shoved her slightly laughing. Number one perk of having me as an older cousin sister or family member? I will forever spoil you no matter what. Partially the reason why I was forever broke I guess. Taking a glance at sof it hit me how different we were where as I was fully Pakistani, Sof was mixed half Guyanese and half Pakistani. She had dark skin and dark brown eyes to match, Her long almost black hair which is a nightmare when it wants to be she blames her dad for that all the time, held together with a bow, attempting to gain an innocent look. She was shorter than me at 5 foot 4 although she wore boots to help with her height compared to mines. She wore glasses, yeah she was as blind as a bat, which framed her face well. Sof looked like a normal not very bothered for social life sixteen year old which was fine by me.
