Saturday 13th December

Walking into Costa I searched around panicking before my eyes set on him wearing his headphone with a cup in his hand, whilst on his phone before looking up towards me and smiling, I smiled back walking towards him placing my bags on the floor before making my way to the cashier.

"Could I get one medium hot chocolate, cream and marshmallows please in a to go cup" I asked putting on that fake polite voice that everyone has, smiling to myself thinking it was weird that everyone had a fake polite voice.

"Will that be all?" the cashier asked as I nodded pulling out my change as I felt a presence push up behind me handing a fiver to the cashier in place of my change "It's on me" he ordered as the cashier shrugged putting my hot chocolate in front of me.

Looking back at Farhan he picked up the hot chocolate and put it at the table he was sitting at whilst I followed him silently, damn he was tall he literally towered over me, I wasn't that short at 5 foot 4 was I?

"I asked you out what makes you think you're going to pay for your own things today?" he asked I gazed up at him thinking he was annoyed but instead saw amusement in his eyes.

"I am capable of taking care of my own needs" I replied just as amused smiling picking up my hot chocolate to drink it.

"Careful it's hot" he warned, I smiled before I began to sip it slowly, eh I already burnt my tongue once today this wouldn't make a difference but he worried he's so cute.

"So what made you call me out here today? Don't get me wrong but it's a bit weird to call someone to come out when you first get their number" I smiled, glancing up at him noticing him watching me, I bit my lip distractedly hearing him suck in a breath quietly which made me let go.

"I'm impulsive and spontaneous, I like to think of myself as unpredictable, I thought it was a bit early to be going home and who could I call out you popped into my mind, thought I should get to know you better" he explained continuing to drink his beverage, I raised an eyebrow, well I would have if I knew how to, I was surprised to say the least. Spontaneous and impulsive? That's a new one.

"So everyone else was busy and you thought why not what's the worse that could happen?" I summarised looking away from him slightly annoyed at myself for letting my bad habit self doubting get the better of me.

"No you were someone new someone interesting from the moment you walked into the shop I could tell there was something different about you" he answered as I looked up in surprise, my expression was probably priceless.

"Different how?" I inquired curiously, I know curiosity killed the cat but could you blame me for trying?

"Well for starters I thought the girl you were with wasn't your cousin but your friend. You don't look pakistani at all. I would have never guessed. Your eyes are just captivating and the smile you had caught my attention. it was natural, real and relaxed" he replied shutting me right up, well that definitely wasn't what I was bargaining for.

"So a canvas store that's different my cousin said you were closing the store down" I muttered changing the subject.

"Yeah it is we got in on a short term lease otherwise we would have kept it for longer it was getting good business" he disclosed thoughtfully, a business like mind I liked that, a lot more than I'd ever let anyone know, he turned to me smiling, damn he must know I was changing the subject the heat rising on my cheeks would give it away.

"It's different than what people are used to in this area"

"It is, that's why it was so successful, so you find me good looking?" he chuckled causing me to smile and blush even harder.
