The night lit up in a flash of blinding light, the large explosion shaking the earth. A fire raged over the burning building, the eyes watching in the shadows reflecting the inferno.

"Time to go," the leader purred, turning from the scene. Without a glance back, he dropped a pair oof gloves onto the ground as he vanished into the undergrowth. Who would have thought one seemingly innocent pair of gloves could change the path of one person forever?

The bright morning glare blinded Briar as she was awoken by furious pounding on her door. Stumbling clumsily, she shouted for the person knocking on the door to hold on a moment. She hastily slipped out of her pajamas and slipped into a pair of jeans and a loose-fitting t-shirt. Bounding to the door, she flung it open, brightly welcoming her guests at the door. She blinked in shock as she was thrown to the ground.

"Freeze, Briar!" Someone shouted as someone planted their hindpaw on her back and cuffed her forepaws behind her back.

"What?" She yelped, struggling as she was hoisted to her paws by her shoulders.

"Hi Miss Briar. We're really sorry 'bout this." A dopey sounding Fur said behind her.

"We aren't sorry you twit! She's a criminal! We're just doing our job!"

"Oh right right. Sorry Riz...."

Riz sighed and dropped his head into his paws as his partner Copper released Briar and waved at her with a massive paw. She coundn't wave back, but instead attempted to smile at the Basset Hound before her. She was totally clueless as to what was going on.

"What? What's going on Tin?"

"Well Missy, yer under arrest fer blow'n up that ther' buildin' down the street."

"But I was at home all night last night."

"Your neighbors said you were out for a walk at the time of the explosion. We also found a pair of YOUR gloves at the crime scene, covered in dust from a package of C4. We're sorry Briar, but your show's over."

"Don't talk that way to a lady that way, Riz! You City-slickers have no manners. I'm real Miss, Riz didn't mean to be be so rude to yer."

"It's not rude, you redneck! It's official." The Raccoon huffed, fixing his police coat. "Just get in the car..." he grumbled unhappily, grabbing the handcuffs and began to drag the still-confused fox over to the cruiser.
