Chapter 2

Maddies POV

I watch as Hailey gets in the passenger seat of dannys car. I look over and hand paul the keys to my car. He takes them and gets in the driver's seat. I follow by getting in the passenger seat.

"So where is your house?" I ask him. He starts driving, following Danny.

"Its about a half an hour away, but we are gonna stop and get some food." He tells me.

"Okay, what food?" I ask. He gives me a look.

"Only the best food in the whole damn world!" He practically shouts. I can't help but laugh.

"And what is that?" I ask, still confused.

"Pizza!!!" He shouts. I laugh again. I begin to feel slightly cold.

"Well Ok then." I say, beginning to shiver. He glances at me and notices. He grabs the hoodie that was placed on his lap and hands it to me. "No its Ok, I dont need it." I say, handing it back.

"But you're cold." He replies, motioning for me to take it. He keeps his eyes on the road. I sigh and take it, putting it on. I look at Paul and notice him smiling to himself, causing me to smile.

Paul turns on the radio and the song '1, 2, 3, 4' by 'Plain White T's' comes on. I couldn't help but sing along.

Dannys POV

I glance at Hailey and see her playing with her fingers. Without thinking, I reach over and grab her hand. She looks at me surprised.

"Shit, sorry." I say, pulling my hand away from hers. I focus back on the road.

That is until I feel her grabbing my hand. I glance at her.

"What are you doing?" I ask her. She gives me a light smile. I instantly smile back. Damn she's gorgeous.

I look back at the road and pass a Papa Johns. I look in the review mirror and see Paul pulling into it. I chuckle and squeeze Haileys hand.

Maddies POV

Paul pulls up to a Papa Johns. We both get out. When we do, I notice how big his hoodie is on me. He seems to notice too.

"Aww maddie! You look so cute!" He compliments. I blush and put my hands on my face in attempts to hide it. He chuckles and grabs my hand, pulling me into the building.

Dannys POV

We get to the house and I quickly get out of the car. I run around it and open the door for Hailey.

"Aww thanks." She thanks me. I smile and nod. I shut the door and lead her to the front door. I open it and she walks in. I follow behind her.

"Do you want anything to drink?" I ask her.

"Can I have a glass of water maybe?" She asks me.

"Of coarse you can!" I reply. She giggles as I stand up and run into the kitchen to get her a glass. I bring it back to her and she thanks me, taking a sip.

"Do you wanna do something?" I ask Hailey.

"Like what?" She asks. I look outside.

"It's kinda muddy... We can go play in the mud." I suggest. Her eyes immediately brighten. I tke that as a yes and grab her hand, pulling her outside.

We start walking by a muddy area when I feel mud running down my back. I scream.

"Oh my god!" I shout. I look at Hailey who is wearing a smirk across her face. "Bitchhhh." I say. I pick up some mud and hold her against me. I put the mud down her shirt.

After several minutes of playing in the mud, I look at her. She looks at me and we stare for a few moments. After a while of staring, I speed walk up to her, grab the back of her head, and crash her soft lips against mine.

The kiss was beautiful. And hopefully the start of something amazing

Pauls POV

I can't help but look at maddie while waiting for the pizza. She's so fucking adorable. Her longish hair is  beautiful shade of pink, she had gorgeous light blue eyes, her personality was amazing.

I love everything about her. There's one thing I didn't know though.

"Hey maddie, how old are you?" I ask her. She looks at me and raises an eyebrow.

"I just turned 17 on new years eve, why?" She replies.

"Oh..." I say, disappointed.

Maddies POV

"Oh?" I question. He puts a smile on his face. Again, I couldn't help but smile. "How old are you?" I ask him.

"I'm 20." He tells me.

"Okay." I say with a smile. He smiles back.

"Zimmer?" The pizza guy calls. Paul turns around and grabs the pizza, paying and thanking the guy.

He carries the pizza out and we both get in the car. He has me hold the pizza as he begins driving.

We drive for a few minutes, then he pulls into a Walgreen's parking lot. He looks over at me.

"Can we go in and grab two two liter sodas?" He asks me. I nod and unbuckle. "Maddie." He interrupts. I look back at him. "Will you hold my hand?" He asks me. I blush yet again.

"Sure." I say with a light smile. We both get out of the car. He runs around to my side of the car and grabs my hand. We walk in to the Walgreen's hand in hand.

As we were walking in I heard a few voices calling at me. I turn and see some guys who are maybe 17 or 18.

"Hey sexy! Leave that guy and come over here!" One calls.

"Hey babeh, commere!" Another one calls. I look up at Paul kinda freaked out.

Pauls POV

Maddie looked scared. I look at the guys who are making nasty gestures at maddie. She looks at them then back at me. She starts to tear up. I quickly think of a plan.

We run into the store, grabbing what we needed. We buy it and leave. Again, I grab her hand. As soon as we walk out, they call for her..

"Hey Bitch! If you don't come over here, I'll have to go over there!" He calls from her.

We get to the car and I put the soda in the back seat. I walk back over to her and sigh, hearing the things those nasty ass men are saying to this gorgeous lady.

"I'm about to fuck you up!" One shouts. I look at her.

"Don't get mad at me, but I have to do this." I tell her. She looks confused.

Maddies POV

"Don't get mad at me, but I have to do this." He says. I look at him confused.

Suddenly, he grabs my face and pulls me to him, crashing his soft lips against mine. I kiss back. I didn't mean to, but I did. Finally, he pulls away. He lightly smiles at me. He motions for me to get in the car. I do as he says.

Once we get in, I look at him surprised.

"Whyd you kiss me?" I ask him.

"Theyre gone." He tells me. I look out the window to see that they really are gone. I look back at him. "You kissed back." He tells me. I blush and look down.
"Maddie." He sys quietly

"Yea?" I say, looking at him.

"You're beautiful."
