Chapter 5

*Hailey's POV*

"You're so cute" Danny says after lightly kissing my cheek, forcing me to blush even harder.

I look into his eyes and smile, him doing the same. After a few moments, he starts to lean in, me following his lead until finally, I feel his soft lips pressed up against mine.

The kiss lasted a few seconds before Danny smiled and spoke.

*Danny's POV*

"Uh, do... you... uhm... wanna go on a date with me?" I ask, hoping for a positive response from her.

She immediately smiles "of course"

My smile grows even bigger. "When do you wanna go?" I question.

She shrugs "I don't care, whenever"

An idea suddenly pops into my head. "So, would it be okay if it was right now?" I ask.

"But it's raining outs-"

"That's why we can have it here!" I interrupt her.

Her smile grows. "Okay!" she agrees.

*Paul's POV*

I awoke to Danny shaking me.

"Paul!" Danny whisper yells, I assume he's trying not to wake up Maddie.

"What?!" I groan.

"C'mon!" He says, pulling me out of my bed and away from Maddie.

We walk outside of my room and I close my door, making sure that we didn't wake Maddie up.

"What is it?" I ask rubbing my tired eyes.

"I need your help" He states.

"With what?" I question him.

"To set up a date here for me and Hailey, since the roads are all flooded"

I smile "awhh, Danneh's gotta cruuuuush!" I coo to him.

"Shut up" he says, blushing.

*Danny's POV*

We walk into the kitchen, and I start making spaghetti while Paul starts setting up the table.

After we're done with our setup, and I'm satisfied, I shoo Paul away and head to my room to get Hailey.

When I walk in, I immediately see a sleeping Hailey lying on my bed. I smile, admiring her. I don't know what to do, so I lay down next to her and doze off.

*Hailey's POV*

My eyes flutter open, and I stretch my arms and my legs. I roll over onto my side, and instantly see Danny asleep to my left. I smile at how cute he looks, and stand up heading to the bathroom, trying my hardest not to wake the sleeping boy.

I walk out of Danny's room and turn on my phone. The screen shines in my eyes, making me squint. I look at the time that shows up on the screen. '8:23' . I've never been able to sleep in very late like normal people. Basically the latest I can really sleep is until 9 at the most.

I walk into the living room, seeing an adorable setup in front of me. There's a table with fancy plates with a variety of painted flowed on the rims, and spaghetti neatly places onto them. In the middle of the table is a candle, not yet lit. I smile at the sight, admiring how much thought Danny must've put into this.

As I'm smiling to myself, I feel a pair of arms wrap around my waist. I turn my head to the side to see Danny. I see him smiling, and I instantly smile back.

"Don't wanna let this spaghetti get cold, so we should eat it now" He says, glancing over at the thoughtful setup.

"I agree" I reply.

We sit down in the wooden chairs and start our morning meal, talking in between mouth fulls of the noodles.

He looks at me and smiles. "Do you wanna 'Lady and the Tramp' this thing?"

I giggle "Yasss!"

He hands me the end of a noodle, him having the other end. We both place the noodle ends into our mouths, and begin to slurp it until we reach each other. When the noodle ends, Danny and I are left centimeters away from our lips touching, and explosions of butterflies in my stomach.

I lean in and close the gap between us, making our lips touch yet again, leading into a small make out session.

Once were finished with our meal, we decide to go back into Danny's room, cuddle, and watch American Horror Story, since me and him both love the show.

*Danny's POV*

After a day of cuddling, Netflix, and food, I hear Maddie and Paul talking in the living room.

"Hey, umm, do you maybe wanna... idk... go out sometime?" I hear Paul ask.

"Yeah, that'd be nice" I hear her reply. I smile to myself, happy with how this is all turning out.
