-2 years later- (Rev: 16, Tami: 14)
(Tamika POV)
The next day, Rev wanted to take me to school with her. I've never been to an actual school before, this was all new to me. I went with Rev, Maka, and Soul to the DWMA where we found Spirit waiting for us. Nervousness took over my mind as we talked through the doors with everyone around us. I held onto Rev's jacket, being led into this place called the Death Room, while Maka and Soul left.
"Rev, Tami, could you please come up here?" Spirit said calmly.
Rev lead the two of us up to the platform where a big black shadow looking figure stood, turning around with a skeleton mask and huge white hands.
"Oh! So this is Tamika huh?" he held out his hand towards her, "I'm Lord Death, founder of the DWMA! Howya doing!?"
I looking at his hand for a second before lightly setting mine on one of his fingers. Rev cleared her throat and spoke up to break the silence.
"So why were we called here?" Rev asked, crossing her arms.
Spirit stood behind them and put his hands on their shoulders.
"Well, I told Lord Death that I feel like you two could compatible as meister and weapon. So I brought you guys here to have your souls tested for any bonds."
A huge grin appeared on Rev's face at her dads words. For me, I was scared. Lord Death brought both of us close to each other, sitting us down one in front of the other.
"Tamika there's no need to be afraid," Lord Death told me, "no harm will be done to you."
I breathed in deeply and sat up straight, closing my eyes. My senses sharpened as I felt an aura of mystery and trauma coming from Rev. Keeping my breathing settle and constant, I took hold of her tense hands into mine and felt her relax.
Lord Death broke the connection with one loud clap. Our soul wavelengths lost their bond as we opened out eyes quickly, looking up at Lord Death.
"It's perfect! Your soul wavelengths are at perfect balance!" he exclaimed.
Rev's face light up with excitement and look over at me, a wide smile stretching from ear to ear. I smiled sheepishly as I was embraced in a hug that could squeeze the life out of me.
"This is awesome! I finally have a meister!" she cried happily.
Spirit then walked in and pulled the two of us into another embrace, babbling about how he was so proud of us. Rev squirmed out of his grip while I was stuck in his arms.
"You'll both begin class tomorrow at 7 in Professor Stein's class, I look forward to seeing you both." Lord Death said with a fruity tone.
My shoulders tensed up at his request. Enroll in the school? Me? I don't even know how it's like to be a meister. A quiet sigh escaped my lips, worry washed over me like a wave. I looked at Rev to see her gleaming with joy. Spirit finally let me go and stood up straight again, letting a happy sigh.
"They'll show up first thing tomorrow, you won't be disappointed."
