Chapter 6- Thanksgiving

Yesterday after Skylar left I had engulfed myself in work. Just as she had. I know I've fucked up in the past and it's only right that she take precaution when it comes to me. However, I just wish she would decide on how she feels about me, us. I've been up since 10 but I've laid in bed thinking about her until now.

I slowly slid out of bed and looked over at the empty space next to my side of the bed. It feels as though I had her for a few moments but I let her slip through my fingers.

My feet dragged to my bathroom, where I turned on my shower and stripped down. I washed my body, wishing it was Skylar's hands going down my arms and across my chest.

After a while in the shower I got out and put myself on autopilot as I brushed my teeth and got dressed. I pulled on a simple bordeaux Gucci turtle neck along with some black jeans and black Tim's. I stuffed my wallet in my back pocket and grabbed my phone.

I had a text from Aubrey telling me to bring shorts and shoes to play basketball and soccer in. I grabbed a duffle bag and stuffed Nike shorts, a shirt, and shoes in it.

I was in my bmw i8 by 2:30 and at the Graham's by 3:00. I was greeted by Jhene and my mom who told me where the boys were. I stopped by the living room to say hello to everyone that was here before heading off to the game room.

Moi, Teo, Jake, Future, Abel, Aubrey, and my dad were all playing poker when I walked in. Numerous greetings were called out to me as I set my bag down and walked over to the table.

I looked at cards as I dapped everyone up, it's obvious Moi is going to win.

"Go change so we can go out on the court." Teo said

I nodded my head and picked my bag up and went to the bathroom down the hall. I threw on my clothes and returned to the game room.

"Okay. Let's go." Abel said when he saw me

Everyone threw their cards on the table and got up but they all soon turned back to see who had what hand.

"Shit." My dad said as he looked around the table

"Ahhh yeeeaaahh." Moi said

"You guys are lucky we didn't finish the game. Y'all would've owed me big bucks." Moi rubbed the tips of his fingers together signaling money.

"Whatever." Jake mumbled as he tied his shoe

"Ahh my back!" My dad called out as he bent over and put his hand on his back.

Everyone stopped and looked at him as he snatched the ball out of Vadi's (Future) hand and ran across the court shooting a three.

Groans and curse words were let out as my dad grinned.

"I don't know why your so happy you just fucking cheated." Abel said as he wiped the sweat from his forehead
