** Addison Whitley **
The bell rang once again, signalling the end of English. The halls were once again flooded by people.

I had Chem next, unfortunately, without Courtney.

I set off alone to class, and the moment I stepped in, my heart sank to my feet.

He was there. Felix was in my class. And he looked angry.

And worse was coming. When announcing lab partners, Mr.Linman put Felix and I together!

After that, Mr. Lineman walked out of the class, leaving us free to blow up the school or whatever. It was also extra dangerous seeing Elliot was there. Typical example of one of the minions Felix had brainwashed into his service, albeit one with a crazy sense of humor.

Felix stalked over, the look of rage on his face gone. Instead, it was replaced with his trademark smirk, the smirk that said,'I'm the king here, and you better grovel underneath me', the smirk that girls fainted over. Like seriously, a girl fainted when he smirked at her last year.

His very posture, body leaning on the edge of the table, smirk still plastered on his face, displayed a relaxed aura.

But his eyes didn't join in the fun.
I looked into them, and was hypnotised by the emeraldine green I found there. They looked as though they were scanning me, looking into my soul, reading all my secrets. I couldn't look away.

Get a grip on yourself, I scolded myself, stop looking into his eyes. You're not some wishy-washy romantic to bare your soul to him.

Thereafter, I decided to stop looking at his eyes. For good.

"So...," he said," you said no, huh?"

"Um, yeah."

"Care to tell me why?" There it was again, that hint of anger.

"That's kinda not relevant right now. We have to start this experiment."

"It kinda is relevant."

"Pass the beaker."

"Answer me."

"I don't know you and you don't know me. It's as simple as that. Now, can you pass the beaker?"

"That was the point of inviting you over. So that I could get to know you and you me.," he replied.

"What if I don't want to get to know you?"

"Don't be silly. Everybody's dying to be my friend."

"Well I don't. So pass the damned beaker already!"

He held it up, his tall, six-foot frame putting it well out of reach of my small, 5" 6' one.

"If you expect me to jump for it, you overestimate me."

"And if you expect me to give to you, you underestimate me," he replied tauntingly.

"Why must you be so infuriating?," I groaned, seriously annoyed now

"Why must you be so defiant?," he replied.

I snorted (extremely ladylike, I know). "Well forgive me. I didn't know that you were the king."

"Well, that is a glaring mistake on your part, now isn't it?"

"Gee, I guess I'm the one at fault for trying to do schoolwork, right?"

"Well, if you're admitting to it..."

I gave him my death stare. For such a good-looking guy, he was supremely annoying. And confident. Self-satisfied jerk.

"You still didn't answer me." Felix jerked me out of my spiteful train of thoughts.

"Answer what?"

"Why did you say no?"

"Why did you ask?"

"Because I didn't know you. I intend to expand my friend circle every day."

"Because I didn't know you, and I intend to keep my friend circle clear of DIMs like you."

"DIMs?"

"Yeah, drowning in money. DIMs."

"Ouch."

The bell rang, signalling the end of period. We hadn't even gotten anything done!

As we walked out, suddenly, Felix grabbed me and pulled me out of the building!
