It had been a tough week, the more famous BTS got, the harsher the publicity became. You couldn't go anywhere now without being tracked down by paparazzi. And they were especially harsh in Korea. You walked into the studio and sat waiting on a sofa, you knew you were way too early so you would be waiting for your boyfriend Namjoon for a long time. Taking your phone from your pocket you made the fatal mistake of checking any Twitter updates.
You had been spotted.
They could not have taken a worse photo of you. Your hair was scraped back on the way back from the store, you were wearing Namjoons shirt, with no makeup at all. You tried to convince yourself it was a bad idea but you ended up looking at the replies anyway.
"She's not good enough for Namjoon!"
"Why did he choose her over literally ANY ONE ELSE?!"
"Look at her ugly face!!"
"She must just have a really nice personality..."
A lot of the comments were nice too, true fans who supported the boys had said really sweet things about you. But you couldn't ignore the hate that was also circulating the Internet. It made you feel self conscious. Like you weren't good enough for Namjoon. You held back tears as you heard footsteps into the room.
"Hey YN, let me just get Namjoon for you!!" Taehyung came into the room, smiling widely at you. The last thing you wanted was for Namjoon to see you like this, so you stood up.
"No. No it's ok, I think I, just. Just don't tell him I was here...please." You said, tears welling in your eyes. Tae nodded, looking worried, but he knew not to press, he had senses like that.
You walked down the steps of the building and onto the bustling street, it was packed today and you just needed somewhere to sit and breathe.
After walking for a little you felt your phone vibrate in your pocket. You pulled it out and on the screen was a photo of you and Namjoon - he was calling you. You sighed as you realised Taehyung must have told his friend you had left in a mess. However, you ignored the call and carried on pacing the streets until you reached an alleyway. You jogged down it and into a park. Your phone continued to vibrate in your pocket, but you ignored it again. Sitting down on a bench.
You took your phone from your pocket - revealing Namjoon had called you 10 times now. The screen became spotted with rain, so you pulled your legs up to your chest and tried to focus on something that wasn't hate. It was no use at all, silent tears dripped down your face and you thanked every single god you knew that no people were around.
After a while you thought it might have been wise to actually answer Namjoon, he would definitely be worried about you. He had called you a further four times and so had Tae. Next time he called you answered the phone.
"YN, where on earth are you?! I've been looking everywhere, Tae said you were upset and-"
"Joonie, I'm ok, don't worry. I just needed some air." You said softly, moving your now soaking wet hair from your face.
"You don't sound ok. Where are you? Baby it's freezing!" He was walking fast, you could hear a lot of blurred noise in the background.
"I'm at the park. I want to be on my own for a while. I have some things to think about." You said, biting your lip so hard. He paused briefly on the phone, slowing down. You heard him sigh.
"I'm coming to see you. Don't you move from where you are. I'll find you." He said, his voice had cooled and he was panicking you could tell. You stayed on the bench, your mind taken off the rude comments people had been making. The rain was so heavy now, abnormally heavy almost. You clutched to your shoulders to stop them shaking. "YN!!!" He was running towards you, his hair clinging to his face.
"Joonie I'm so sorry I just," You broke down, burying your head in his soaked shirt. He held you close, trying to warm you up.
"Jagi you're soaking! Come, we have to get somewhere warm." Your boyfriend said, pulling you along.
"No because someone will see us...and I," You tried to talk but it was no use, your voice was all cracked and broken.
"What? YN you're making no sense." He shook you, making tears spill down your face. "What's wrong?" He asked, his eyes widening. Pulling you close.
"On Twitter, people...they've been saying things about me, horrible things..." You started, more and more tears falling down your face, Namjoon shook his head. "And, they make me feel like maybe I'm not good enough for you...like maybe you could do better." Your voice broke into a whisper as he pulled your shivering frame closer against him, his hands ran up and down your arms slowly.
"Ahh ya, Jagi..." He kissed the top of your head. "Don't listen to them."
"It's pretty difficult when they are everywhere," you cried harder into him.
"Well, let my voice be louder than theirs." He crouched a little so his eyes were in line to yours. Pulling you so that your noses almost touched. "You are beautiful, you're smart, you're sexy. You're all that I want. Stupid comments won't make me change my mind."
"But-"
"They don't even know you YN! They don't know you how I do. And if they did...they would change their mind. They wouldn't say rude things." He said, you nodded in return, feeling bad for making him panic and come to get you. When you looked up he was glancing around, a small smile on his face.
"What?" You said unsurely.
"I wish their were paparazzi around right now." He said, looking into your eyes.
"Why?" You asked, furrowing your brow. Without saying a word, Namjoon scooped you up into his arms, wrapping your legs around his waist.
"I love you YN." He shouted, pressing his lips hard against yours. When he pulled away he was smiling widely, his dimples showing.
"I love you too Joonie, I love you so much."
