You threw a couple of shirts in to your backpack with the rest of the cloth you had already packed before you closed the zippers, threw it over your shoulder and turned around. You froze as a memory washed over you at the sight of your bed.

You laughed and struggled against him as his fingers gently ran up and down your side poking you on all the right places to make you squeal with laughter as he his free hand pinned yours over your head and his lips brushed over your neck before you felt his warm breath against your skin as he whispered into your ear, "you wanna say that again?"

"You're a dinosaur," you panted inbetween your laughing and squealing and he stopped still pinning you down as he leaning up to look into your eyes. His green eyes were sparkling even though he tried to look annoyed, "Really Y/N? Am I teaching you here?" He growled before pressing his fingers to your ribs again making you squeal and laugh, "who uses cassette tapes anymore?!"

"I do!" Dean chuckled with a smirk "and I am awesome!"

"Well that too," you giggled and just like that he stopped tickling you and let go of your hands. You stayed in place as you watched his expression change. He got serious and he looked at you like he saw you for the first time. With admiration and adoration. You stayed still smiling up him as he rested on one elbow and ran one hand up your cheek and through your hair, "I love you," he almost whispered and you held your breath for a second as you watched the fear in his eyes but before he could roll away or make a joke your hands shut up cupping his face. You felt the stubbles and his soft skin against your hands as you rubbed your thumbs against his cheeks, "I love you too Dean," you said softly and just like that his lips was on yours. You ran your hands around his neck, one down his back and another into his hair as he kissed you, soft and tender for what felt like hours.

You shook your head as trying to free yourself from the memory before your eyes started to tear up. You quickly headed out the door, down the stairs. As you walked through the house memories washed over you with every step you took.

You looked into the kitchen and remembered how you had yelled at him and hit him consumed by grief over the loss of your friend. He had just let you. He stood there barely flinching as you pounded your fists into his chest, crying and screaming. You remembered how he had wrapped his arms around you as the fight had left you. You remembered how you had cried against him and how tightly he had held you. He had helped you to bed that night and the next morning you had found him on your couch. You looked into the living room and it was like you saw him standing there. Apologetic. Promising he would leave you alone and you would never see him again after he assured you he only stayed to make sure you'd be alright. You almost felt the heat of his body as you remembered how you had flung yourself at him pressing your lips against his as you cried, telling him you were sorry begging him not to leave. You looked down at the floor next to the couch. It now seemed naked and weary without your bodies there. Tangled together and moving slowly into each other as you had that morning when Dean had made love to you for the first time. You closed your eyes feeling his warm full lips and the slow burn when his touch had set you on fire.

Tears filled your eyes as you walked passed the wall he had pressed you against a few days ago. He had promised he would come back to you. That he and Sam would find a way to save him. "We always do! I will come back to you. I promise!" the words rung in your head as you pictured his reassuring smile but you also remembered the glimpse of fear in his eyes before he held you just a little too tight and he was out the door. He had left like a bird rushing to the impala where Sam was waiting. He never looked back and you had felt tears streaming down your cheeks as you returned his brother's small wave. Dean had rushed out the same door you were now locking behind you for the last time. Barely hanging on, but you knew you had to carry on!
